Watch Me Burn #6

Don't Fear the Reaper

Rate this book
Everything I’ve ever known has been a lie.
From my family history, to the very reason I ended up on the streets as a kid.
There was only one person I ever trusted completely.
I’ll never trust him again.

Archer Hendricks is everything I despise and crave.
I’ve never loved and hated someone so much in my entire life.
Too bad my heart didn’t get the memo that he’s the devil.

Archer’s not the young boy I fell in love with when I was a child.
He’s the leader of the Reapers of Chaos crew, and he only sees me as a possession.
He doesn’t love me, he just doesn’t want Axel to have me, and he’s keeping secrets.

I’m going to set everything of his on fire and watch the docks burn at my feet.
I know Rory and Jade will stand beside me while we watch the smoke billow into the night sky.
I just hope I can stand my ground and forget he was ever a part of my soul.

My friendships are fragile and I’m starting to break.
I’ve learned to only rely on myself no matter what, but it might push me over the edge.
Especially if the Shadow Kings get their hands on me.
I’m a dead woman walking.

My name’s Lexi Bryant, and I never claimed to be good.
I’m about to wreak havoc on the only man I’ve ever loved.

*This is an M/F dark romance book and it follows the rest of the series. It must be read in order. It contains dark content such as rape and abuse, and has fertility struggles.

I have been waiting for Lexi’s story ever since she was introduced and this book did not disappoint whatsoever. Not that I didn’t enjoy the first four books with Rory’s story but Jade and Lexi’s stories just have a special place in my heart. They are so well written and the author did such an amazing job showcasing these characters and their stories.

Whenever we have seen Lexi, she’s the crazy party girl who just wants to have fun but this book showed her struggles, her vulnerabilities and her strengths. This girl is amazing. She has been through so much and she just keeps fighting and doing her best. She has so much love, even if she has been weighed down with too much heartache in her life.

I loved the flashbacks of Lexi’s life so that we saw more of her character and how she became how she was initially in the series. She is such a strong and resilient person. Some parts of this book were dark and not for the faint of heart but I think it had to be shown for the happily ever after.

The little tidbits at the end had me wondering about where this series would be going. When I saw the last few sentences… Oh, the next book is going to be good. RE Bond, no pressure, but please don’t leave us waiting for too long.

Don't Fear The Reaper is Lexi and Archer's story. We initially met Lexi at the end of Rory's story. Back then, she was a bit of little sh*tstirrer and we didn't know much about her. Although, for some reason, she really stood out to me, like Jade. This book, we see a whole different side to Lexi. She's lived a rough life and continues to survive each and every day. We see a more vulnerable side to her. Along with the dark and gritty, we also see relationships mended and beautiful friendships.

This was beautifully written and continues to get better and better. I'm almost terrified to get into the mind of Rage, but also really, really curious. Can't wait!

Don’t Fear the Reaper is book six in the Watch Me Burn series. I cannot praise this series or author highly enough. Each and every book is brilliant and this is another excellent read.

This is Lexis story. I really loved reading about her previously and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact this exceeded my expectations- it was fantastic.

Fabulous read with lots of action and plenty of twists and turns. Another brilliant read by this author.

This one was not my favourite, I really struggled to get invested in it. I like that the storyline throughout this series has stayed consistent, but honestly Lex character was just irritating to read about. I love Archer and his character, such a bull headed male, but it showed throughout how much he loved her, her on the other hand.... All she did was allow herself to get raped over and over putting herself in stupid situations then using her body to get what she wanted all the while complaining about why it was happening to her 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm so curious about Rage and I'm looking forward to see how this plays out.

I have loved this series from the start and Don’t Fear the Reaper did not disappoint. I was always curious about Lexi especially after Jades book, but man I didn’t expect what she has been through. First off I loved how we got to see her and Archer in the past as well as present. It allowed for character building that I totally needed. Lexi is an incredible character, but man her stubbornness at times made me want to pull my hair out. Eventually I figured out she just didn’t want to put those she loves and cares for in danger and was willing to put herself in danger to protect them. I hated Archer for a good portion of this book, but he still managed to weasel his was into my heart by the end. Their chemistry was off the charts and steamy as heck! I really like Axel though! But in the end Archer and Lexi make the perfect couple. He is obsessively in love with her and she loves him just as much. Rage is a whole different story. He is one of the best villains I have ever read. He is unhinged and you never know what he is going to do next. He kept me on the edge of my seat and I can truly say I despise him. Based on the ending of this book I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of him in the future! Overall I loved this book and this series is one of my favorites. Read at your own volition though due to triggering content.

Holy cow. And here I thought I loved Rory and Jade.

I spent a lot of this book wanting to punch Lexi. Which is no surprise since she's just like Rory. But I loved her growth. She grew so much through the entire book overcoming her own demons her own way.
Archer might have been oblivious to how to actually handle everything Lexi was, but I'm so excited that he finally figured it out. I loved them in perfectly jaded, so all the downs in this gutted me.

Seriously another incredible book. Can't wait to dig into Rage!

Don't Fear The Reaper by R.E. Bond is a dark romance. This is the sixth book in the Watch Me Burn Series.

The book does come with a warning "There is dark content such as rape and abuse, and fertility/miscarriage scenes."

I absolutely love Rachael's books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. This book I would highly recommend taking Rachael's trigger warning to heart. I really enjoyed getting Lexi and Archer's story. Their relationship is toxic but you can't help but root for them. I loved getting both of their points of view throughout the story.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Wrath of Rage to be released on December 10, 2021 so I can get Rage and Charlie's story.

I would highly recommend this series if you like dark romances, bully romances, reverse harems, or romantic suspense.

Lexi is my spirit animal. Her strength and resilience is award winning.

I love every FMC Rachel has written but this one just hooked me from the start.
Can't wait for the next book.

5 stars without a doubt.

If you like drama, suspense, tension with a side of psychopaths this is the read for you.

This was my most anticipated book for September and it didn't disappoint. I absolutely love the world the author has created in the WATCH ME BURN SERIES. This is Lexi's story and it gives us a chance to see all that she has endured. I have to admit that her character was so different from what I was expecting. I think my soul needed this tough but softer more vulnerable lexi.

There are so many complex layers and feeling with Lexi and Archer's relationship. My heart hurt for them, knowing they were both hurting by not being together. And alex's brotherly fierce protectiveness is so darn sweet.

Also love seeing jade being more secure in who she is now. And of course still have my girl crush on badass Rory!!! Can't wait to read the last 2 books for the series. This book ends at a natural stopping point and not a massive cliffhanger. Next book is Rage's book.

Please be aware that this is a darker themed book and does contain triggers.

3/3.5 ⭐️

Lexi Bryant and Archer Hendrick’s story was definitely a crazy, wild and complicated one, taking you on a jam packed journey that was complex from their relationship alone. There was so much to unravel in that alone, considering they had been in each other’s lives since they were little kids. Creating a flurry of emotions and feelings that budded throughout their time together. Some of which we see through flashbacks and some of which is acknowledged when reminiscing about their memories. It’s what made you fall down the rabbit hole with learning everything about Lexi and Archer as individuals, with how they got to where they are now and why they were the way they were. Especially when it came to their behaviour and thoughts. And of course learning about the many layers that made their relationship what it was.
On top of that there was even more chaos to be added, considering all that was going on around them which was drama filled, action packed with lots of blood and twisted darkness. SO BEWARE!
Lexi and Archer gave you so much feels alone throughout the story, especially considering everything Lexi had endured and still continuously suffered through. Hitting you super hard deep within.

While I did enjoy the book overall, there were a few things that I wasn’t too keen on and couldn’t get past. Like the whole contradiction of Lexi's character made no sense to me, since in the previous books she was shown as being a kickass, strong, fierce woman. Yet throughout Don’t Fear The Reaper she was shown as being the complete opposite, who seemed to accept defeat easily by allowing herself to be broken down time and time again. It just surprised me, since it was very unexpected to say the least. There was also the fact of the way Lexi's mindset worked, which had me lost and confused, given how her mind process worked when it came to determining certain events. Including when it came to trust with not allowing others to be there for her, despite proving their reliability time and time again.
My other main issue is it felt like there didn’t seem to be a strong narrative IMO, since a lot of the time the story seemed to be going around in circles from the repetition of the same things being said and done. And the climax that occurred had seemed so short and abrupt almost like it was non-existence. Resulting in the story fizzling out further, leading to the majority of the story being lacklustre IMO.

Despite all that, Don’t Trust The Reaper was still a good read. And I still look forward to see what happens next in Rage’s story Wrath of Rage, since something tells me it is going to be dark, twisted and explosive.

And fear the reaper she did not

Sent to prison for a crime she didn’t commit, put into a precarious position that allowed her to be hurt and used due to her association with the leader of The Reapers of Chaos, her profession, her lifeline, used against her. Prison hardening her in more ways than one.
Her relationship with Archer is toxic, but they have a history, a past and have both loved each other for as long as they have known each other, not to mention her relationship with her brother Alex.
When Lexi comes back to town, Archer refuses to rehire her so she goes elsewhere, in doing so puts her in the path of Rage, leader of The Shadow Kings, and the man responsible for her early release.
Because Rage has a score to settle and he’ll use anyone to achieve his goal. Lexi’s line of work allows her to hone and use her skills for purposes that are her own, but in doing so makes her an target, which opens her to a world of pain she could have never imagined.
Rage taunts Archer and Lexi to no end, which leads to Lexi falling into the arms of Axel, there is no love loss between him and Archer which leads to constant fighting and fist fights.
And then it is discovered that Archer has a traitor in his midst’s alongside The Devils Armada crew, leading to a plan being hatched to flush out the culprits.
Archer is at his whits end, his business affected by the constant disruptions courtesy of Rage, he is done.
Lexi has learned to come to terms with her trauma, and is thankful to have Archer with her through the healing process.
And when the truth comes out there is hell to pay, especially when Lexi finds out that her and Archer are legally married.
But that’s the least of there problems when Rage sets hits sights on Charlie, and they’ll do absolutely anything to keep her safe.
The book has very heavy triggers and may not be for you.
This book has it all dark romance, murder, madness, mayhem, revenge, vengeance, bro-mancing, violence, adrenaline seeking suspense, possessiveness, dominant alpha male and female, jealousy, twists, turns, truths and betrayal.
This story is told from multiple POV, also giving background into there pasts, it will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. The author definitely knows how to write and I’ll be coming back for more.
And those s*x scenes were steamy, had all the angry angst, hate, jealousy and possessiveness, dominance and passion one would expect when Archer is fighting for the love of his girl. But they work well together in there own way, because nothing will come between them. They love each other, regardless of there differences, because they are in this together, and when family is everything, they will need there family now more than ever when they face off against The Shadow Kings! Onto book seven!

A King is NOTHING without his Queen

Wow. This story line just keeps getting more insane. Lexi's story was CRAZY. The constant push and pull with her and Archer is ridiculous.
Half the time you really aren't sure if your #TeamLexi or #TeamArcher. They are both stupid for each other and just keep hurting themselves.

Rage Evans is scary and ruthless. The author did an amazing job at capturing his no nonsense over the top, serial killer for fun vibe. lol. The author did an amazing job period.

This story was so unlike Rory's and Jade's story. I absolutely loved how the author created Lexi's character so different from the others in the same world. You cant help but feel for Lexi. You laugh, you cry, you hurt and you are happy when she is. She's so different compared to what we are used to. The way she uses her body for revenge and how she's reliant on her friendships in her life. No one likes to be alone and a lot of the cool FMC's we see are always "I don't need anyone..." well Lexi is real, she doesn't like being lonely and she needs that support system, even when she's too afraid to ask.

The ending caught me off guard. I definitely felt like something was going on with Myles but I would have never assumed that - the very end - I did not see coming. I'm glad he got his, but wowwwww. It was a little bit anticlimactic with all of the build up for this book. With that - I am SUPER stoked for Rage's book. Man o man, am I excited to see that lady put him in his place.

((Can I also just say - with how much baby talk happened at the end - Are we going to ever see Rory pregnant???? PLEASE PLEASE RE Bond. I need Hunters dreams to come true. LOL.))

This book was DARK, it was a rollercoaster of a ride and at the end - we got the HEA we all wanted. I hope Axel gets his HEA too. ;-) I feel like this series just gets better each time.

*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 4/5
*MF Romance
*Dark 5/5 - Lots of Rape and blood
*Triggers - rape, fertility issues, blood, unfaithfulness
*First person POV (Lexi and Archer)
*HEA? YES!

THE POPS IN THE PLOT ON THIS ONE I SWEAR!!

Took me out! Things would be relatively calm and then BAM left hook from under the table, sometimes literally. There was no catching your breath.

Lexi has been one of my favorite characters even though she came off as a bit of a sh*t starter at first. She obviously has some flaws, hello have you met these people? But this time around? She is a VERY frustrating character. We felt some of this with Jade, the refusal to relinquish a little bit of trust just to ease her troubles a bit. Lexi is so incredibly stubborn and it set me off, a lot. Especially when things got...'heated'. I found myself not quite as loyal to her. Her emotions reigned over her the entire time and it wasn't always, if ever, a good thing. She was unhinged.

It wasn't all on her though, this book is one long messed up chain reaction that starts with Archer. Archer Hendricks is broken road paved with wavering intentions. He's fueled by a possessive need and a tainted kind of love that leads to decisions both deadly and disastrous. He's a character that would earn a smack to the head and a kiss on the cheek all at once. He's either warming your heart or earning your wrath all at once. He's a mess. The two of them together? Utter chaos.

This family shows us again how tangled up they all are and how when one vine snaps the others soon move in to manage the damage. Some keep it real, some try to soothe, and some just show support in silence but they're all ready to go to war for each other. It's incredible. I'll never let this series go it's top shelf and priceless.

I will say, I'm rooting for a Skeeter and Marco novella. They are my absolute favorite and I love every work of them I get. They're everything.

I have some suspicions about the next book and I can't wait to see where this goes with Rage! It's almost too intense and waiting is maddening. I'm here for it!

Infuriatingly good

This series has had me on the edge of my seat throughout, and getting to book six has been a beast of a journey. Written in a dual first-person POV, Don't Fear the Reaper picks up where book five left off, utilising periodic time-leaps to paint the picture of the narrative.

Lexi infuriated me like no other heroine. Her behaviour—choices, intention, actions—had me squirming for twisting the proverbial knife in my heart and gut at every opportunity.

Lexi's soul is painfully tortured, and reading her story was a heartbreaking experience from start to finish. Dark, painful, full of triggering trauma and agony. I felt like that person watching a horror/suspense film, screaming “he is behind you!” at the protagonist, like a modern twisted pantomime. I felt Lexi’s pain, the combination of circumstance and self-inflicted punishment.

Archer—growing up into the crew life and viciously accepting and thriving in the fight and violence to stay on top—is not a good man. He is selfish, possessive, and hasn't had to experience being told
‘no’. He doesn't like it, and it's a thrilling experience following him in this classic yet amped up boy-meets-girl trope, fighting to gain it all like trophies he has earned. Losing it all as a cause and effect of his actions is a valuable lesson he has to learn as the story progresses.

There was, however, a twisted beauty in experiencing Lexi and Archer’s story, their past, their inevitable drifting apart, and the agonisingly painful push-and-pull journey of trying to fight against their natural attraction to one another.

There's not much better than a second-chance story where you're not sure if the main characters have earned the happiness, and ‘Don't Fear the Reaper’ delivers on heat, action, torture, and that eluding chance of redemption—all things I find virtually impossible to resist.

Gah! I feel so far behind in my reading and reviews! Let's just say life's been a bit crazy....but I still make time for my favorite escape....books!

I've very much come to love all that is R.E. BOND so when book 6 of the Watch Me Burn Series came to be, you better believe I was all over it.

I feel like I should preface by saying all of the books in this series are DARK, and Lexi's story is no different.

Now....I don't want to say that Lexi is underestimated because, let's be real....that girl is dangerous. More so because of HOW she is dangerous. Rory might be unhinged and enjoy the kill, and Jade has become hardened by the events in her life, but Lexi takes things to a whole different level.

That woman can use her body to twist and manipulate any situation she needs to, and watching her do it is intoxicating, her only downfall is her refusal to ask for and accept help. Her need to for independence and to prove to herself she could handle her own got her into some tough situations.

That being said.....

I loved that Alex and Lexi were able to build a relationship. I think it was something they both never knew they needed.

Archer, this man frustrates me almost as much as Rory did 🤣 I know his love for Lexi runs deep, but the way he went about things was so infuriating to say the least. Haha.

Axel, I love Axel! There's something about him that I really grew to love.

The ending....perfection. It is set up so beautifully for the next book in the series and let's just say I think Charlie is going to have a very dangerous man eating out of the palm of her hand.

This series has so much going on, yet it's brought together seamlessly throughout the books even as the main characters change.

If you haven't already given it a shot you should check it out.

We finally get Lexi’s book!!! I have been waiting on Lexi’s story since we first met her. And let me tell you RE Bond did not disappoint! She has this ability to write a story that you can immerse yourself in and get lost. All your favorites from the series are present and active in this story and it’s like visiting old friends. As heartbreaking as this story can be, I kept holding out hope because Lexi deserved to have everything she wanted.
Lexi really has had a rough life, just like everyone else in this series. And while she doesn’t resort to the type of retribution that Rory, and even Jade to an extent, like to it by no means she is weaker than the other girls in this series. Lexi has her strengths in different areas and knows how to use them to her advantage. She is not some female who is going to go hide quietly while other people dictate her life. She isn’t afraid to let others know where they stand and how she feels. She is a fierce as anyone else in this series. I loved her even more after finishing her story.
I have to admit, Archer was not my favorite person when I started this book. As a matter of fact, I despised him. Somehow through the book Bond managed to change my mind about him. He is not my favorite from this series, but he is close to the top now. He really redeemed himself in this book. He more than made up for his actions in the previous books in my opinion.
This book does have trigger warnings so be aware of them. But if you can handle the trigger warnings then I definitely recommend this book. We get to watch Lexi climb her way from the bottom to the top where she belongs. It has spice, heat, love, loss, tragic incidents, redemption, and so much more. I can’t wait for the next one to see where Bond takes us next.

R.E Bond just gets Darker 🦹‍♀️

What a fucking book!
We see Lexi in a whole different way and I have to admit this book for me is the darkest one.
I though Rorys story was dark and then even Jades but no Lexi is so dark, triggers galore

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions reading Lexi’s story
With her relationship with Archer, which for most of the book I was pissed at Archer and how he was
But also the back a few years and now was good to learn his feelings and Lexi’s
That was deep and different
I’ve enjoyed reading Lexi’s story, she’s definitely nothing like Rory or Jade that’s for sure but she gets her jobs done in other ways and it works. She’s a Lover not a fighter unless she has to but not the way her besties go about it.
But that girl is a fighter, the things, situations, drama, scenes she’s gone through makes her one of the strongest characters I have ever read and I’ve loved reading every chapter ☺️

So there’s the Devil aka Rage, like seriously he’s confused the shit out of me, he’s sick, his games are weird and his emotions don’t even make sense lol
I had a funny feeling who his next target was and so I can’t wait for the next book
He’s been a very bad monster in this book, we only got a taste of him on Jades book, we got more this time
It’ll be good to learn more about the fucker

So yeah we had more guns, sex and violence with a lot of triggers in this book
R.E Bond had one crazy imagination and I bloody love it

I would of loved more of Lexi but I hope she plays her part more in the next two books as we need to know how her life goes after the ending to this book

So this book is from Lexi's point of view.

I have to be honest, the only reason I gave the book five stars is because of the author, not because of the story.

I absolutely despise lexi. I don't particularly like Jade but I tolerate her.

I don't know what it is about lexi. She just seems too big of a problem. I agree with Myles throughout the entire book.

The main reason I stuck by the book was because I wanted to read about Axel and hunter. And okay, maybe a little bit about archer.

I feel absolutely horrible about what happened with axel. But I do agree with archer in saying that he should have been at the hospital with lexie. I mean the girl just lost her damn baby of course she didn't want Axel there but at the same time Axel should have been there regardless. We're women, when we're suffering trauma we don't know what the fuck we want. He should have just gone. Even if he wasn't in the room with her, just in the waiting room. That shows that he was actually supporting her. And after all the garbage he spewed about always being there for her I thought for sure that he would at least be in the waiting room. But of course not.
I mean Archer knew that baby wasn't his but he still showed up.

Honestly I think that's when my feelings about our church changed. I still think he's a man whore. And I hope to God for Lexi's sake he doesn't turn into a man whore again but that scene in the hospital is what made me actually give a shit about archer.

Well at least in this book the author managed to get me to not despise archer, and informed us more about Hunter and axel. So that's good.

Off to read book 7

Crazy Couple

Okay so I have to admit that I never ever liked Lexi or Archer in the other books in this series. I’m not sure why….they just were irritating to me I guess. This book definitely helped me to like them more though they still aren’t my favorites lol

It was nice that Lexi stood her ground and did get some revenge on Archer and made him see his faults. She is a tough and strong woman in a completely different way than Rory and Jade. I’m pretty positive that most women would not have the strength to go through what she does in this book and still be able to keep going and with a smile on her face nonetheless.

Archer…*sigh* where to begin? He just kept on messing up over and over smh I think he dug his own grave more times than I can count. I honestly did not think he could be redeemed but I was proven wrong. It may have taken the majority of this book but eventually he started to change and be a better man.

I’m not gonna lie….I one hundred percent wanted Lexi with Axel and even after finishing this book, I still want them together. Even though Archer did get better and all that, Axel was such a gentleman to Lexi and truly cared and treated her the way she deserved to be treated. There was just too much history with Archer I think and they make a crazy couple lol Anyway it goes, I’m glad I read this book but I am hyped beyond belief for Rage’s book!

As you know if your read my other reviews, I absolutely love Rach and her amazing writing style that has you addicted and on the edge of your seat from the very first words.

I have been waiting for Lexi’s story ever since she was introduced in Rorys books and lawdy this book did not disappoint. I swear Rach just keeps getting better and better, and you can tell with how well each book is written. Rach did exceptionally well showcasing these characters and their stories.

Whenever we have seen Lexi, she’s the crazy party girl who just wants to have fun but this book showed her struggles, her vulnerabilities and her strengths. This women has been through so much and she just keeps on getting back up and continues to fight and doing her best. She has so much love, even if she has been weighed down with too much heartache in her life.

She’s a force to be reckon with, strong and resilient person and I loved the flashbacks of Lexi’s life so that we saw more of her character and how she became who she was initially in the series.

Some parts of this book were dark and not for the faint of heart but I think it had to be shown for the happily ever after. (Please read warnings before going into this one)

Oh Lexi, Lexi, Lexi. Your pride and stubbornness might get you killed one day.

Ever since I started the Watch Me Burn series, I didn’t exactly take a shine to Lexi. As much as I love strong FMCs, Lexi didn’t resonate with me. But reading her story now, my thoughts have changed slightly. I always felt she was a little too headstrong. A little too…much. She’s just a girl trying to survive in this messed up, gang riddled world. Lexi has never apologized for who she was, a headstrong female, a hyper-sexual woman, a stripper. No matter how many knocks she’s been thrown, nothing breaks her and for that she’s earned my respect. Hats off to you, Lex.

We learned in previous books that her and Archer have a past, but it really was great to see the past play out in flashbacks to put their story together. It’s a long and hard fought road for them but it was definitely worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed Archer’s POVs, getting to watch up close how much he loves Lexi was absolutely amazing to see. Watching Lexi and Alex’s relationship unfold throughout this book was wonderful. It’s the little things. I’m so curious now, though, about the other characters in this book and I hope there will be more about them. I love this series!

RE Bond has seriously done it again with this incredible book ‘Dont Fear the Reaper’ which is all about Lexi 🖤

This book follows on from Jades story in the Watch Me Burn series as it’s shown from Lexi and Archers perspective.

I loved reading about Lexi so much, she’s been through a lot of trauma and I just wanted to cry for her but she comes back fighting everytime showing you what a strong woman she actually is.

I really enjoy reading multiple POV in books and this gave me that in every chapter.

Hunter is 1 of my favourite characters throughout the series so reading about him and Lexi being besties is sooooo good. Alex and Lexi’s relationship has come on leaps and bounds and just being part of their journey to how they navigate their new dynamic is amazing.

I seriously want to kill Rage now he is literally evil, that’s all I have to say on him 😂

This book has so much violence, extreme non con and dub con, but also heartbreaking, mushy and laugh out loud parts which make it such a fun and gripping read.

As always please read TW first as this is a very dark romance. For me personally this is so far up my street I love reading about psychos. Can’t wait for the next books to carry on reading about all these people 🖤

A massive 5 ⭐️ read!

You are actually killing me.
This series is just too good.
Lexi has never been my favourite. I kinda thought she was annoying in the other books but I did like seeing her perspective and why she was wired the way she was
The shit she went through even made me want to be sick and I'm usually fine with anything. No triggers at all so definitely look into that before reading but I'm in awe at how strong she is going through all that shit.

Archer I felt needed to grovel a little more but I do love him and how he would do anything for Lexi even if it makes her hate him at times

Skeeter .. man I loved him in his books. At the end of book 3 and then book 4 he went a little down hill for me and then in this book he just pissed me off.
Like I get you hate Lexi, but after legit seeing what she went through there is no need to keep calling her a whore and being a nasty person. He didn't need to like her but he should have kept his mouth shut. So I'm disappointed in him a little

I love how everyone is still involved even when they aren't the main focus. I love seeing them all interact so fun

I'm so intrigued to get into the mind of rage though. I really need to see what is in his head.

Can't wait for the next book I love this series so much

BUT DEFINITELY LOOK UP TRIGGERS!!!!

In honor of Wrath of Rage coming out in 5 days lets review Don't Fear the Reaper.

This is Lexis story.⠀I will admit Lexi was my least fav character of this series.⠀She just always seemed so self sabotoging and she demeaned herself and I just couldnt vibe with that.

I can also admit that this book changed my opinion of her @author.re.bond really showed us how Lex became the way she is. How her and Archer got to where they were and where they should be in their relationship.

I still do wish she wouldnt blame herself so much for what happens in her life.⠀I know she puts herself is SHIT situations but that actions of others are ultimately just that the actions of OTHERS!!

I loved this book and Im so excited and nervous to dive in Wrath of Rage today.⠀Rage idk if he is redeemable and I have a feeling Charlie might bring him to his knees. Im just intrigued on how it will play out

storyline 🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙

I have been in love with this series since book one. We're on Lexi's story, and I have been wanting this for awhile, but let me tell you, it's dark, it's heavy, and it's raw. Lexi is wild. She doesn't let anyone hold her down, but she does what she thinks she needs to do to make it.

I love Lexi and Archer. There were so many times that I wanted to reach through and knock their heads together. Archer will do anything and everything to protect Lexi. He's been doing it pretty much his whole life. Seeing Lexi come to grips with her life and that what she knew was a lie, is pretty emotional. She's independent, but keeps finding herself in these terrible situations.

I love her friendships that she has with Rory and Jade. They both understand what she's going through and do what they can to help her. As always, I love seeing Rory and how her relationships are holding up and of course now seeing Jade and her guys.

Rach! These books just keep getting better and better and darker and darker! I cannot wait to read the next book. I'm pretty excited about Rage's book and definitely ready to see how a certain someone is going to handle him.
