Three pasts. Three criminals. One night to steal it all.

I’m known as the Scarlet Thief. Truly fitting since Scarlett is my name. No one has seen me or ever even gotten close. It’s not bragging, I’m just that good. If I see something and I want it, the fact is, come hell or high thievery, it will be mine.

There’s just one rule: I work alone. A team comes with complications—dangerous complications that can get a girl killed or, even worse, caught.

When a mysterious billionaire known as Mr. Black not only gets close enough to catch me but leaves me an intriguing message offering me the chance of a lifetime, what’s a world-renowned criminal to do? Track the man down and kill him, of course. Only, instead of Mr. Black, I find two other criminals —a hacker and a mercenary—who are gunning for the mysterious man in the shadows who seems to know everything about us.

The only way to keep our secrets from ever seeing the light of day is to pull off the biggest heist the world’s ever seen. If we fail, we lose everything, but if we succeed … we could go down in history.

NOTE: We hope to release this title in early October 2020. Therefore, the release date is subject to change.

"I want you, my little Scarlett Thief"

I read sweet possession earlier this year and when I found out they would be writing another in the series, but an MFM, I jumped on that so fast. I really like this writing duo and find this standalone series to be not only steamy but fast paced and fun.

Scarlett Thief is about Scarlett, a profession thief who has been hired to do a heist with two others, a sexy lumberjack looking mercenary named Wolf and a genius hacker named Hadrian. These three are not used to working in a team and things start off rocky until lust forces them to get along.. This book was like oceans 11 but with romance mixed in. It was such a fun ride. This book also incorporates a dom/sub relationship which I love reading about.

This was faced paced and entertaining as well as hot as hell. I really loved these characters, especially the broody Wolf. I'm a sucker for the grumpy ones. I knocked off half a star because I feel like the relationship needed a bit more time to develop and I would have loved more about them in the epilogue, however I really enjoyed it and I'm very excited for book 3!

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Like I was watching a movie. Really great!! I agree with other reviewers that it had an ocean 11 kind of vibe but with less people!

Wished I had more scenes of them together as a family and in the epilogue too. I wouldn’t have minded a duet so I could have more time with them. Also wished the authors gave us more of Wolf and Diablo’s backstories. Will definitely be reading more from these two talented authors.

This book sucked me right in! There’s some serious steam in this one too...these three loners are forced to work together to pull off a heist snd somewhere in the middle of all the grumbling between each other.. they can’t deny their attraction to one another.. I really enjoyed their banter...some parts were a little flat but I really enjoyed it over all.. the hacker was my favorite.. the kink in this book is also on point for real..
I think it’s a perfect book for fans off the oceans franchise.. it had that vibe to it for me anyways..

Scarlett, Wolf and Diablos story addicting. Scarlett is looking for one thing and being thrown into a mission with Wolf and Diablo is something she doesn’t want at all but it will give her what she wants so she can’t say no. These three are thrown together in so many ways and they start to explore things they never knew they craved, especially Scarlett. I loved the kink factor in this book big time

I have to say that this book pulled me in from the start, but probably in the middle it lost some of it's luster for me, but I kept reading and I'm glad I did because it got so much better.
Scarlett learned at an early age how to become a thief by her father, but not how to make good decisions as she's ended up later in life on a team of thief's where the leader is manipulative and controlling and sketchy she knows that she needs to get away from him but how until the job their on goes bad and she disappears. Several years later she's been summoned or blackmailed by a Mr Black to dinner for a job he has for her, but she finds out she's not alone there's 2 guy's there as well Wolf, El Diablo both who have their own type of thievery Wolf is a mercenary and El Diablo is a hacker, but the one thing they both have in common is that their Dom's and Scarlett is about to step into the BDSM world and discover her true sexual self. That's all I'm saying you'll have to read it to find out what happens.

This book took a turn that I didn't expect. Scar, Diable, and Wolf were just characters I wasn't expecting! Scar starts out as this super strong willed character but finds she doesn't want to give up control. When she is forced to work with Diablo and Wolf, she needs to either screw them over, or find a way to work with them. And how do you say they do this? By going to a sex club! I was not expecting this part and how two doms come out and want to have Scar submit to them. I think this is where the book turned for me. I loved the scenes, but Scar just got very scared and didn't want to give up control and it was just an endless repeat. Really like the story but something about how she was fighting them, but wanting it, but not at the same time, I just got confused.

So I really enjoyed reading Sweet Obsession, so I knew when this book came out that I just had to read it. I was so happy I did. Scarlet was really surprising to me. I expected a hard woman and what I found was not anything like what I was expecting. I'll be honest I totally have a crush on Hadrian and Wolf. I think you guys will too.

Scarlett, Diablo and wolf got brought into the job with information Mr Black had on them. They set to Italy to retrieve a necklace that will provide them with money and freedom from blackmail. Will they succeed at their mission? Will they fall in love with each other? They face many bumps on the road bit hopefully overcome each one of them.

What a great read! Lucy and A.J. make an awesome writing duo and I can't wait to see what they do with the next books in this series of standalones. This book had twists and turns, suspense, revenge, steamy scenes, and more! It held my attention from start to finish and even when life pulled me away from reading, I couldn't help thinking about this book and what came next. And if you like a strong, bratty FMC, you will love Scarlett! I also loved the little cameos with Mare and her guys from book 1!

Quick & Dirty Details:
- Menage (late 20's/early 30's) - hacker and mercenary, FMC thief
- Heist
- Med-fast burn
- BDSM
- Multi POV
- Standalone in a bigger criminal universe
- Triggers: past abuse

A MFM Read That Just Hits The Right Spot
4.5 stars!

“You're going to have to learn what it means to be ours, baby,”

I read Sweet Possession a few weeks prior when I found out that there was going to be another book in the series. Lately I’ve been trying to find reads where the Heroine has more than one love interest, and Scarlett Thief hits the spot with an MFM read just like how Sweet Possession did with it being a RH.

Scarlett Thief took off in the same place where book one ended, but just from a completely new POV and a whole new storyline. This book, we get to learn more about Wolf, the mercenary. We also read more about Diablo, the hacker. And we get to meet an entirely new character, Scarlett, the thief. The three of them are forced into a team together to work a heist, with each skill they have playing an essential role.

This book wasn't just a typical heist/criminal read. It was an actual learning experience. I loved how AJ and Lucy incorporated what it means to be a Dom/Sub and the relationship that plays along with it. With that being said, Scarlett was learning it at the same pace as possibly the readers, and that makes you connect with the characters so much more.

This writing duo knows how to do just that! This book is sexy, fast paced, and fun. I loved the dynamic the three of them had together, and how as the story of Scarlett unfolds, the leading men understand the complex character that is of the Scarlett Thief. They all had one thing in common: they don't do teams. But maybe Mr. Black knew what he was doing when he assigned them together? Cause after all, they are one hell of a team.

Arc exchanged for an honest review!

Wow…I absolutely loved reading Scarlett Thief. I was hooked from the first page and didn’t stop reading till I reached the last. Any interruption was not welcomed. Hated having to put it down to do anything without finishing it. It’s a good thing I finished before night or I would not be sleeping tonight. Scarlett Thief had so many surprises and secret revelations. I loved how three strong individuals who met for the first time and who had no reasons to trust and get along with each other come together and not just because they were being blackmailed. There is a variety of twist, turns, things going sideways, secrets, revelations, emotions, and lots of heat. It was sizzling hot! Scarlett Thief had some light elements of BDSM. I highly recommend Scarlett Thief and can’t wait for Sinister Engagement which is the next installment of Criminal Underground Series. Can be read as a stand-alone. The Criminal Underground Series has shared world and characters are interconnected but doesn’t have to be read together but I would recommend it. Lucy Smoke and A.J. Macey, authors, did an outstanding job with creating the underground world that Scarlett Thief took place in along with the main characters. Lucy and A.J. created characters that were easy to empathize with and was so hot together that you could get burned reading all about them. Scarlett, Wolf, and Hadrian are all very good at what their specialty is but working together was not something they wanted to do but they quickly found that they had things in common and they had to learn to work together and trust each other in order to complete the task set before them. I won’t go into any more details as I don’t want to spoil Scarlett Thief for any future readers. This is the first book I read from A.J. but have read books written by Lucy Smoke. I enjoyed all the books I have read from Lucy and will continue to read more books written by her. A.J. Has definitely piqued my interest and will be checking out her other books while I wait for Sinister Engagement. For one I didn’t read Sweet Possession, book 1, and plan on going back to read it. Hope you enjoy reading Scarlett Thief as much as I did.

Scarlet Thief is part of the Criminal Underground series by Lucy Smoke and AJ Macey and focuses on Wolf, Diablo (real name Hadrian), and the Scarlet Thief. Scarlet's been raised to be a con woman, learning from her famous father, She works alone after running away from her team, whose leader Jaxson was manipulative and abusive. Scarlet values freedom the most: freedom to pick her jobs, to exercise her control over situations, to never be indebted or live in fear of someone else. Hacker Hadrian's most precious commodity is his client list, while Wolf's is his small little family. When all three of them are essentially blackmailed into stealing an expensive diamond necklace, they have to learn to work, trust, and support each other. I enjoyed Diablo (Hadrian's) laid back personality, his perceptiveness, and his confidence. Wolf's dominant personality, his brute strength, but also his protectiveness and vulnerability reveals much about his character and morals. There are so many different aspects to this book: there's mystery as to why Wolf, Hadrian, and Scarlet are pulled together, there's suspense as they try to pull of their heist and run into trouble, and there's definitely steam and a lot of kink as we find out that both Wolf and Hadrian are into the BDSM scene and that Scarlet just may be too. Overall, Scarlet Thief was an entertaining read and a strong continuation of this criminal underworld the authors are building.

While it was educational, I did find that I skipped over some of the talk about BSDM. I think it may have stunted some of the action and ruins the flow of the conversation for me.

That’s what I call a sequel!

Boy, what a read this was. This one had me at the edge of my seat. I feel like this one was darker than the first and I love the hunt and chase the characters were on. I don’t know who I loved more so they are all my new favourite!
.
Scarlett is such a boss. Compared to Mara sorry to say but I prefer Scarlett. The book was definitely more easier to read than the first also, but I guess that comes down to me enjoying it more because I wasn’t frustrated with the main character. This is such a page turner and when it got to the end I refused to believe the ride it was over. I will gladly read this over and over.
.
This is such a dark and gritty book with so much mystery, intrigue and twists that pop out to slap you and not to mention the steam!!! I thought my iPad was legit going to melt. Phew! I consumed this and refused to put it down. The characters are captivating. You want to hate them but you love them and it just makes the experience all the better. Awesome world building and a read that will have your heart racing!
.
I cannot wait for the next book. I need more! Be prepared for a book hangover because i can definitely feel one creeping on.

So I previously read Sweet Possessions and really enjoyed it and it was good to see those characters in a cameo appearance in this book as well. So when I had the opportunity to arc this book, I was all for it. These 2 authors are so good separately but together...magic! Who knew I could get so hot and bothered over a book about criminals with BDSM fetishes. And this book delved into training Scarlett how to be a submissive. They brought her into the clubs and and let her be surrounded and take in the atmosphere and made her do research. And honestly, I kinda wished they had detailed more on that research. They zeroed in on Scarlett's naturally submissive tendencies even though she is strong and feisty and has major walls up all around her. Sometimes, it just takes the right man. Or in this case, the right men. Hadrian and Wolf are hot and super sexy. They can come dominate me anytime. But what kept me interested was the plot. These 3 criminals; a hitter, a hacker and a grifter, forced to work together to steal a very valuable diamond necklace. It's almost as if they put together The Italian Job and pieces of Leverage (one of my favorite shows) and put it into a book. And I absolutely LOVED it!

I didn't know what to expect going into this one. I LOVED the first book of this series but I have a love/hate relationship with standalones these days. I think a lot of it is I always feel like its rushed and that it had a lot more to say. This one blew me away though. It started off fast and didn't end. Its was a page-turner. I didn't put it down once I started. You have Scarlett(ROSE) and shes so strong and that's what I love. She comes from a bad past but she doesn't complain, no she makes waves and she gets what she wants. Until Wolf and Hadrian come around. They really come in and just claim her. I loved that even though its a standalone, I had a sense of all of the back stories and the world-building was perfect. I didn't feel like it was missing anything. Lucy and AJ brought these characters to life in the best way. I could see in my mind the club and the leathers, I could visualize the jet and the flat where they were staying. It was steamy yet sweet, suspenseful with a fab ending. I loved it.. This book is a must read.

Scarlett Thief is the second book in The Criminal Underground series. This book is told from the points of view from Scarlett, Hadrian (El Diablo) and Wolf. I devoured this book in one day because I had to know what happened next. It had me on my toes.

Scarlett is a thief, Hadrian is a computer hacker, and Wolf is a Mercenary. We have briefly heard of Wolf and El Diablo in the first book. A guy called Mr Black blackmails all three of them to do a job for them. They are all criminals and not use to working with others.

While doing the job we learn that Wolf and Hadiran are both Doms. Scarlett doesn't realize it yet, but she is a submissive. Feelings start to develop between the three of them. Can they get the job done without risking their lives. Can they learn to trust the others or will they backstab each other.

I really enjoyed this book, but I would have liked to see more of the criminal aspect. I can't wait to see what the next book in store is. I liked the first two and will continue to read this series.

Three criminals. Three lone wolves. Three brought together by their sole weakness. Scarlett, a master thief, El Diablo/Hadrien, an incomparable hacker, and Wolf, a deadly mercenary are all brought together for one job by a mysterious Mr. Black. They each work alone but given no choice, they will become a team just long enough to complete the mission. Or maybe not.

I enjoyed the premise and set-up of this story. It reminded me of a murder mystery dinner or a game of Clue. The puppeteer Mr. Black pulling strings never being identified, never explaining his motives created tension from the beginning. Take three sexy criminals who depend only on themselves, unable to trust or play nice with others, and force them to be a team or lose everything. Add in the sexual tension of two doms and a natural submissive and then have them strategize and execute the perfect heist. Finally, throw in an unexpected complication from the past and have everyone catch feelings. It's all of the elements for the perfect escapade.

Scarlett Thief is the second book in the Criminal Underground series. The first book does not need to be read in order to understand the second, but there are some characters that come over and make you feel nostalgic from the awesomeness of book one. Scarlett (Rose) is a force to be reckoned with, but like all forces there is always something that causes the winds to shift and provide a sense of grounding. Scarlett and her men are that shift when they combine forces and expertise to take on Mr. Black.

Scarlett Thief was addicting from page one and had me hooked. I love strong a FMC that known for their inner strength and resolve. Wolf and Hadrian are yummy and I loved how they fit so perfectly together with Scarlett. There are a variety of fun surprises and little hints for the next book, which I am really excited to read. Lucy and AJ brought their A-game in this one, just showing what a great team they make in bringing these characters to life and the story to pull out all the feels.

So fucking good! After the last book I had high hopes for this one, and it didn't disappoint. The characters were complex and well developed and I loved to see them grow, not only independently, but also has a "couple". It was also so amazing and enthralling to read about how their criminal minds work. How fucking brilliant they are. Wolf is intense as fuck, he's a natural dominant and has a need for control. Hadrian has more of a laid back, flirty persona, but he's cunning, and so damn intelligent. Scarlett was fucking amazing. She's a force to be reckoned with. Seing her discover this new, dark and submissive side of herself was intoxicating. The first scene at the BDSM club was hard to read, I could feel her pain through her words. Fuck. It made my heart ache for her. Such a beautiful, strong woman, but the pain she carries felt incapacitating. The book was amazing, and I can't wait to read more about our next mysterious criminal 🖤

Scarlett Thief is the second book in the Criminal Underground series. You don't have to read the first book in order to understand the second but there are some carry over characters. In this book, Scarlett is our heroine. She's a thief hiding from her past. She's used to taking small jobs to stay off the radar. When she's forced into a new partnership with a mercenary and a hacker, the job is one that draws attention. You can't run from your past forever. Wolf and Hadrian are used to getting what they want, being forced into a partnership is definitely not something they like. They all are adults though and they suck it up and do what needs to be done.
It took me a minute to get into this book but once I did, I was all in. This book has BDSM in it so know that going in. Scar has a bit of a time adjusting to being a sub and it's quite entertaining at times. The guys were strong and dominate and utterly hot. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

Great book! Easily reads and changes direction as you read it. Initially 3 criminals who all work alone are blackmailed to have 1 goal as a team. Stealing a diamond necklace. Wolf, a mercenary, Hadrian, a hacker and Scarlet, a thief. They don't trust each other at all but will have to work together.
When they investigate how they can best operate, they make use of their contacts. One of those contacts meets up at a sex club where Scarlett comes into contact with the world of BDSM. What she didn't know about herself, but Wolf and Hedrian had already noticed, is that deep down she is a sub. Letting go of control is unknown to her, but when she finally dares to surrender control to Hadrian and Wolf, she finds something she has been looking for for years.

Again, a great story that reads quickly, is nowhere boring and beautifully defined BDSM scenes. Dealing with a black past, growing into maturity in relationships.
Highly recommended

Dark and good

Okay, so I won't normally go for the BDSM books, while I can appreciate the kink and that everyone has their own tastes, I usually dislike the fantasy descriptions of it. But, it was fairly okay and not overly done, so I was able to enjoy it. The plot and story were good. Very entertaining.
Sex: yes, though surprisingly, not as much as I expected from the build up. The plot largely focused on building trust and the heist.
Plot: There is really two plots to this story. If either appeals you should enjoy this book. 1. a woman with repressed submissive tendencies finds herself in a situation with two men who happen to be Doms. 2. A talented thief with trust issues is blackmailed into working with a hacker and a hitman, to pull off a heist. Frankly, I was here for the second, and most importantly, there is a HEA
Recommend? If you like a bit of kink thrown in with your suspense romance, you'll enjoy it.

The thief, the mercenary and the hacker. They have one in common.
They are being blackmailed to a do heist.
Steale a diamond necklace worth billions of dollar from a prince wife.
Stranger toneach other except for theif own reputation, they were force to work together if they dont want to loose what previous to them.
But the twist in their dinamic relationship shifted like a roller coaster ride when Wolf and Hardin the El Diablo as a Dom recognize the submissive in Scarlett.
The heat isnt from the dangerous heist alone anymore
Its from the sensual tension between the three of them. And its scorching hot with the possibility of these two Dom with their Sub.
Until Scarlett's past threatened not just their job but also the still shaky ground of their new found relationship.

I didnt think this book could be better than the first but boy was I wrong! We are treated to drama, action and SMOKING hot scenes!! I mean how do Lucy and A.J. write such hot books! We met Scarlett at the end of Sweet Possession and now we go on a journey with her and 2 guys - Wolf and Diablo - who she is forced to team up with. No one is happy with this arrangement but, they have a job to get done or things will end badly for everyone involved. As a lovely bonus we get to see Mare and her guys again. I loved seeing this different side to the whole Dom/Sub aspect. Instead of going all out like the last book, the guys use it to take care of Scarlett and help her relax and feel safe.
Fast paced, full on and even had me laughing out loud. Definitely a must read.

Lucy and AJ do it again!! I’ve been excitedly awaiting the next book in the Criminal Underground series, especially after reading the phenomenal first book, Sweet Possession. (Go check it out, if you haven’t already read it!!!)

Scarlett Thief was so good, I couldn’t put it down. The BDSM was done the right way, no glossing over it or making it into something theatrical and mainstream. The tension between Wolf, Scarlett and Diablo was deliciously written! The struggles and character growth of each, really made this novel that much better!

This book really sucks you in, keeps you in enthralled and then, of course, the ending leaves you needing more from this series! It’s a definite 5 ⭐️ read for me.
