It’s no secret that I’m absolutely, positively, head over heels in 🩸LOVE🩸with Rory & her 9 men. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Jade, Alex, & Harley. Or how I would feel if I didn’t get much of Rory & the guys.GUESS WHO CAME THROUGH?RACHEL.She gave me plenty of scenes that included Rory & the guys, but she made me feel for Jade, Alex, & Harley. Addiction & abuse is not easy to write or read about, but she did it. She did it in a way that makes you feel everything they feel. She gave us so much to unpack in this book with these characters. I fell in love with them. I hurt for them. I was happy for them. I. Want. More. Of. Them.Jesus. Now I have 2 girls & ELEVEN men that I want more of. I have no doubts she’s going to give us everything we need again in her next book. I cannot wait.

    Jade’s story packed a punch. In the other books we only got a nibble of what Jade was like. To be honest she was but annoying for the most part. But the story arc that played out in Book 4 perked my interest.

    And let’s say I became invested in her and her relationship with Harley and Alex as well as with the various street crews that run the town. What she went through is horrific but she came out stronger and a badass because of it.

    I’m glad the story only involved two guys because trying to navigate Rory’s nine guys was exhausting. But I will say seeing those people pop up very frequently in this book was a treat.

    Haley and Alex are quite a pair and at times I wasn’t sure if I wanted to smack, strangle or kiss them for their actions. The author did a good job portraying the angst and slippery slope of a polyamory relationship with these three. Be prepared for some surprises, heavy steam and angst.

    Next up is Lexi’s story and I’m itching with anticipation.

    Wow. I have so many things to say about this book! This is book 5 in the series so I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but damn, this one was just as crazy, if not more than the first 4. This book focused on Jade, Alex and Harley. The first 4 books are about Rory and her guys, but luckily they are included in this book as well.

    OK let’s get real for a moment… read the triggers on this one because they are real AF. This book is heavily involved in domestic violence. Jade is in an awful relationship and it was hard to stomach some of the things she went through. That being said, @author.re.bond did a great job with how she wrote the scenes and really gave you perspective of someone who is involved in domestic violence. This book is MFM and her guys were two sides of the same coin. Alex is sweet and caring while she is still going through all her BS, Harley doesn’t know how to act and I struggled with him a lot because he would scare Jade without meaning to.

    @author.re.bond always brings the steam! I was happy there was a lot of interaction with Rory and her guys and new relationships were created. There is a lot of new storyline with the crews that comes in to this book and secrets are revealed that sets it up for Lexi’s book, and that girl is going to be interesting! If you are looking for fast paced and crazy, this series is for you!

    Jade is the character that I most related to in the Watch Me Burn series. I’ve felt the fear and desperation to escape an abusive relationship. I’ve felt the uncertainty of what happens if you do, and the confusion of still caring for the person you fell in love with, despite how they now treat you. I’ve felt the isolation and terror of being threatened even if you do manage to get away, and the hopelessness and defeat when you give up on that happening.

    I know some people didn’t like Jade in Rory’s story. If you skip this book because of that, you’re really missing out. Im not excusing Jade’s choices and behavior, but I understand. When you have all control in your life ripped away from you and you feel like you’re spiraling faster than you can process it, you find yourself doing things you might not normally do. You lose yourself.

    It was inspiring to watch Jade grow into the person she is now. She learns to swim with her demons instead of letting them drown her. We get to see her rise from this broken, shell of a person into a strong, unstoppable woman. I really enjoyed her and Rory growing closer. They were a force to be reckoned with and I loved their banter. It was nice to see a few of Rory’s guys step up and support Jade as well.

    We get to see her relationships develop with Alex and Harley. Alex and Harley immediately drew me in when they entered Rory’s story and I am so glad we got to read more about them. Together they are exactly what Jade needs. I absolutely adore the three of them. ❤️

    If you haven’t read their story yet, I strongly urge you to consider doing so. I promise it’s worth it.

    I am so impressed with the writing and story telling from RE Bond in this book. I admit, I struggled with Jade at first as it seems so simple as someone who hasn't dealt with domestic abuse to just leave but she gives a tremendous insight to Jade's thinking, which is so important for people to understand.

    As the story moves along, the character growth is fabulous and I loved seeing Jade take the reins of her life back. I loved Alex and Harley and the evolution of their relationship. This whole book is filled with so many twists and turns and even getting to the end, it doesn't stop. Fabulous read and excited for Lexi's story and hopefully more answers to the overall plot.

    Perfectly Jaded is the fifth book in the Watch Me Burn series and is an MFM dark romance focused on Jade, who we met in Rory's story.

    Whenever I read an R.E. Bond book I just know some crazy sh!t is going to go down, and this was no exception!

    Jade's had a seriously traumatic life and is hiding the fact that her boyfriend abuses her. However when he takes it too far she soon finds herself back in the middle of crew business (and Harley & Alex😏)
    I absolutely loved Jade, she is such a relatable character for so many and my heart literally broke for her at times. But she is a survivor and when she finally realised she deserved better and was a bada$$ in her own way, it was beautiful to read.

    Harley and Alex are best friends and like to share. But they've got a rough history with Jade and its not going to be easy for her to trust them. And when secrets come to light things go from bad to worse.

    I absolutely loved the storyline of this book! It's all about surviving abuse and drug addiction and the way that it's written is so freaking real.

    The plot is fast paced and there's plenty of action and gore and the spicy scenes were also pretty hot.

    Rory and her guys are also in this book and I forgot just how much I love that little psycho! The scene at the docks with the grenade had me in stitches!

    This book was freaking amazing and I'm really looking forward to the next installment of the series

    How the hell did I go from hating Jade to absolutely loving every little piece of her damaged soul?!
    Seeing how she felt when she was with Stevo ‘ he didn’t mean it, maybe he’ll be better today, it’s my fault’ really made me cry want to rage out. I love when books make me want to get revenge on a fictional character. Alex and Harley were as amazing as ever, but I’m getting quite sick of crying because of your words Ms Bond. You can’t hurt me like that again.

    If you want blood and sex and violence, but also need that family acceptance and friendship, this is the book for you
