Reaped #2

Claiming the Reaper

Rate this book
The Reaper is out for blood,
How fast can you run?
You’ve taken something that isn’t yours,
When will you learn?
There’s nowhere you can hide,
What choice do you have?
She can smell your fear,
Who can help you now?
You can’t avoid the scythe,
Why do you even try?

Family is who you make it and I’ve discovered blood means nothing, not unless I’ve slipped my blade into flesh and drawn my scythe with it. Just when things were starting to look up and all the pieces of my f--ked up life were coming together, I’m once again thrust into a war and this time I’m taking no prisoners. This is it, the final showdown, my scythe is sharpened and my boys are by my side. We might just find ourselves dead but not before I’ve drawn my scythe on every one of our enemies’ foreheads.

Hands down my favorite book in the series. What started as just a novella turned into something so much bigger and fantastic.

What an epic finale. In the long run, it’s bittersweet, at first I needed to see what would happen with Selene and the guys, but in the end, I just didn’t want it to end. The book is gray on my dark scale.

The dark humor in this book is sinfully delicious. With Selene and Santos completely unhinged, Darius is not too far behind. Add Daddy Blaze and Zander; I couldn’t stop laughing. Seriously, they stepped up their game on this book.

As expected, I knew they would go out with a big bang, and that is what the Authors delivered. Hands down, this is the steamiest book in the series. Have an extra set of knickers on hand. We are introduced to some new characters, and you can’t help but love them; I hope to see a spin-off with them.

Santos will forever be my favorite character from both authors. As much as all the men and Selene, each one is different and entertaining. Santos will forever have my heart. I didn’t expect to the ending; that is the beauty of it. It was unexpected and I loved it. I love how the book comes full circle. Reaped series is a Must-read.

This is the final book in the Reaped series and these 5 unhinged psychos are getting their HEA.

This book is full of equal parts seriously bloody violence and light playful banter, which is a super fun combination.

These characters are certifiably insane while also being super sweet with each other. Like I most definitely wouldn’t want to meet any of them in a dark alley, unless of course they thought I was worth keeping around for some reason. lol

The relationship between Santos and Darius is my very favorite coupling between two guys in a harem that I’ve ever read. They deserve the world and are to be protected at all costs.

And the spice is just as crazy and bloody as you can expect it to be based on previous books.

I struggled a little with the plot, it got a little convoluted, and some characters were thrown in that I think we could have done without. But in the end I still think it closed everything up really nicely and the ending was explosive and emotional.

If y’all are looking for a something with some seriously dark content but a super light tone, this may just be the series for you.

“Welcome to Hell, you’ve been reaped.”

The only way I can describe Selene who is the main female character is half Harley Quinn and half Baby from the Firefly Family (House of a 1000 corpses/The Devil’s Rejects)

The title of the book says it all. Selene is the Reaper and her boys are coming to claim her once and for all. Santos, Zander, Blaze, and Darius.

After Santos finds his long-lost father and a new brother and a new sister, he is still coming to terms with it all.
And main man behind the skin trade that Selene started out hunting book one? They all end it once and for all.
There’s relationships within relationships. We have the fucking most adorable MM going on. The ending. My heart swooned.
MM/MF/MMFMM

Yes to an HEA.

This book has dark elements to it. There’s going to be some bloody kink and hard-core sex.
There absolutely is murder. Lots of it. With glee.
The dark humor had me absolutely laughing out loud throughout the entire series. The way the authors can make something so fucking horrific is absolutely hilarious and that is why this book is a five star book for me.
“If he wants to lick what was left on my soul out of my ass, I’m not going to stop him. It feels fucking good, for starters.” 😈🔥😂

While I did not expect the ending, it was a good one. A very happy one. And a well deserved one for these crazy unhinged people who are family.

“She makes our house into a home, soothing our demons a little at a time. Sure, she also encourages those demons to come out and play, but they have leashes now and we’re in control of them, not the other way around.”

The End. ❤️❤️
5/5⭐️

Wow what a way to end the series. Probably my favourite out of the trilogy 🖤

The crazy gets even more ramped up in this book and I did not stop laughing the whole time. I love the dynamic of all these characters especially when Santos, Darius and Selene get going, they are the best type of crazy ever. Especially when annoying Daddy Blaze and Zander.

The violence is on another scale and at times made me shiver and gag it’s that detailed (which obviously just adds to the psycho natures of our characters)

The spice 🌶 was on 🔥 as in next level 🥵

This is a multi POV book with all the characters having there thoughts and actions aired which makes it so much more fun to read, especially when witnessing the others doing something stupid.

Can I just say I love Pepe 😍😍 I want him as my pet!

This writing duo are incredible together and I’m sooooo sad these books have finished but what an amazing series that has been. Definitely 1 of my faves this year by far.

I know I used the word crazy a lot but until you read these you just don’t understand the type of crazy they are.

10⭐️ is not enough for this book! Thank you ladies for bringing this story to life 🖤

Selene and her guys have come full circle and actualization, Selene in her hunt and Santos, Zander, Blaze, and Darius in their claim of her, their own personal objective, and collective relationship. This book masters gritty with its violence, kink, street smarts, and thrill; but there was also a delightful balance of dark humor. Spice level is high as I've come to expect from this series.

A fast / medium pace, and besides the storyline, well-developed characters and intrigue made this book a fun read with an edgy craziness that made this tale uncharacteristic and unique from traditional reverse harems. At the same time, the unhinged behavior at times bordered on gratuitous. Still good though. Also, while generally I prefer a heroine on the sweeter side who submits to antiheroes -- and they were certainly alpha -- feisty Selene was really the glue and salve that held them together. Her character worked for this group. I loved the pre-existing MM in their relationship.

A twist, and overall, a great, adventurous read.

A bloody crazy good time!

This series was everything! I absolutely loved how psychotic and bada$$ Selene was. And don't even get me started on all the hot spicy scenes with this bunch! A fantastic crazy ride that I never wanted to end!

Well my 3 stars for the first two books turned into 4 stars for this one.

This is a review for the whole series.

Its a fucked up mess and it took me a little to get into it but then after the 2nd book, I couldn't stop thinking about about it and had to dive into this one.

Selene is on a mission to kill the bad guys; the sex traffickers that her mother sold her sister to. She sets off to find her sister becoming a bad arse psychotic killer along the way. She eventually crosses paths with the son of one of the traffickers (Zander) and whilst banging the daddy in order to get information, decides to kill the son too.

this doesn't quite work out as Zander is also on a mission to take down the traffickers including his father along with his friends (who are all psychotic in their own special ways). Zander is the most well adjusted of the lot. They all end up having alot of messed up and frequently bloody sex. There's plenty of blood play, arse play, tying up, some MM, MMF, MFM... etc etc. They also all go after the traffickers creating mayhem and havoc as they go...

If you don't mind plenty of blood, some torture, freaky psychotic sex and a laugh along the way (some of this was pretty funny, especially some of the banter), then you'll probably love this one!

Oh Selene.....How can this be the end!! I haven't read a series like this - definitely one of a kind and has a permanent place on my re-read list!

A vigilantes work is never done, but the Reaper Incarnate is no longer just one kick ass female. There's now 4 psychotic, gorgeous, Deadly, loyal and quick to anger men in love with Selene and with the same target - to kill Mack Delaney - the last big dog in the massive skin trade link theyve been decimating since book one.

You'd think with z heavy topic the read would be heavy - nooooo, no,no,no,no!!

Santos is a complex character but he provides the light relief that makes a big difference in this book! He is the epitome of a big kid. His outlook on killing sprees are the same as how most people would view going to a funfair. He doesn't seem to hold any fear! His attachment to Pepe is disturbing but cute!

As his lover, Darius has the patience of a Saint! These two are extremely hot together-madly in love and with Selene completing their little triad, blissfully happy. Their love of knife and blood play is the tip of the non-vanilla iceberg!

Poor Zander. No wonder he's wiped out - being left as the designated babysitter to Santos for the majority of the book!  But he also gets to blow stuff up so taking the rough with the smooth! And can't forget Daddy Blaze! He's with Selene at the MC compound for the majority of the book, conspiring with Papa and Loqi of who and when to attack and try to find their missing girl.

Santos is featured heavily in this book due to the fact his dad is the MC Clubs president  and he has a brother that he's having trouble getting his head around. But now he finds out he has a sister too, that was stolen and sold into the skin trade when she was 12, 7yrs ago. Its a race against time to find her and we see the flipside of Santos personality - the scary, pissed off big brother that will burn the world down to find her.

Such a great series!! I loved it. From its humble beginnings of a novella in the anthology, Violent Tendancies to this awesome conclusion, you'll love the guys and their psycho ways, and the original reaper assassin vigilante who found her equals, her home and her future!

Perfect!!

We are saying goodbye to Selene and I’m not sure how to feel about it. She was this kicka$$ character all by herself and then she met Blaze, Zander, Santos and Darius….then *fireworks* lol. I enjoyed their last book together where we finally put an end to Mack’s skin trade and got all of the answers we needed.

While we surely see Selene is going to get her HEA with her guys, I enjoyed the authors take on going a step above and making sure Santos and Darius got their HEA with each other as well as with Selene. I was not expecting that ending, for sure!

The beginning of this book was go, go, go and it was a bit overwhelming. I’m glad it seemed to calm down and pace itself but then I felt like it ended all to quickly. Lol. I was super sad about it. Haha.

These authors did an amazing job and I look forward to many more books from them, together and separate!

*Overall 3.5/5 (it didn’t grab my attention as much as the other books in the series)
*Heat? 4/5
*First person POV - all main
*Romance? Definitely more in this one that the others, 3/5
*MFM MM MMFMM
*HEA? YES!

I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review and opinion, Thank you!!!!

Excuse me while I cry. I can’t believe this book is the last one! I have fallen in love with this bunch of psychotic hoodlums. Each one has its one characters but has a whole they beautifully blend together. It’s bloody, dark, full of passion and mayhem and dark twisted humor. Just when you think you know what’s happening we are kicked in the knee caps while the authors dance around us laughing because they have ripped our hearts out and teased us that they may give it back. I loved loved loved Santos’ journey lost though this last book. And the fact he gets himself a pet lol 😂. The ending wraps up beautifully but leaves enough us to hood they aren’t really done! These two ladies make magic together. Maybe we will all get lucky and get some other characters might entice them to write spin offs. Hint hint wink wink.

I think I'm in love with Selene! She's a teeny bit on the crazy side, and I LOVE IT! Her men fit her in every way. I love her relationships with all of them.

I am so sad this is the last Reaped book, but whoa, did it come out explosive! Violence, blood, hot and spicy... yes please 🥵🥵🥵 even though this one is pretty dark, there's also a lot of humor. I have laughed so much during all of them.

This was the perfect ending to the Reaped series! I loved all the crazy from the beginning and I'm sad to see their story end. Selene and her guys will definitely hold a special place in my heart 🖤🖤

Claiming The Reaper is the third and final book in the Reaped series.

Selene and her 4 men continue to fight the leaders in the skin trading business, taking down multiple organizations and saving countless women, girls, and even boys.

On top of the serious topic of freeing kidnapped people, there was also hilarious debauchery that occurred while rescuing them. I laughed a lot 😂 Selene and Santos’ crazy, Darius’ acceptance, Zander’s leadership, and Daddy Blaze have a little bit of everything.

Claiming the Reaper had a lot of spice!! And it was very sexy!! Crazy chaos and mayhem along with very steamy moments make this book a MUST READ!! Actually, just read the whole series!!

Well it ended pretty alright.
Everything was ridiculous and absolutely psychotic but I think it sort of worked for them. Plus it was super entertaining.

This was Not what I expected from all the recs on TikTok, but I had a fun time. It wasn’t my favorite, but I’m glad I read it so I know what everyone’s talking about now. Lol

Just what I needed in my life! I absolutely adore this series, Selene is such a BAB, Blaze is still such a grump, Darius and Santos are my favorite psychos ever, the blood play is deliciously hot! Zander has such a character arc, just swoon. So much steam, you may need to read this in the bath. 😏

My emotions were everywhere in this book. There are so many highs in this book. The side characters, are everything. Such a great ending to this series, that I never wanted to end. Great co-write ladies! Can’t wait to see what else y’all’s devious minds come up with.

You’ve been reaped

“We really are a bunch of psychos if the prospect of blood and war excites us.”

I hated the idea of one last read and the end of a cleverly crafted co-write and carnival ride in the blood soaked dark.

“Welcome to Hell, you’ve been reaped!”

I was eagerly there for the twisted little plot C.A Rene and R.E. Bond threw us into, straight in the deep end. Sink or swim with the sharks, I’d happily have drowned in their world. Nothing like going out, guns blazing. The boys were strapped and loaded on the hunt for Selene.

Let’s talk about Blaze… I know, Santos and Darius are fun as, everyone adored their brand of psycho. But Blaze was it from their first encounter for me. I’ll take the psycho hiding in the background, thank you. If a character could come alive from the pages, and make a lasting impression, this was the one I’d willingly take home any day.

“She fixed something inside of me I didn’t even realize was broken.” This! The one liners like this one was a huge part of why I’ve loved this series. Blaze’s paranoia and need to protect everyone was for good reason.

I digress.

Darius and Santos, both brought me to tears and cracked me up. Their kind of broken, twisted as, with added knife play, is not for the faint of heart. I swear my breath stopped multiple times, reading the guilt ridden angst, desperation and need for Selene, their calm in the crazy storm.

Zander, supervising pretty much an asylum, on a good day, impressed me no end. Like everyone else, he stepped up, took control and grew exponentially as a character.

Totally enjoyed being back in their insane, knife wielding, $eggsy chaos of a world again. The melancholy is real. This series has concluded. Like old friends, at least I know I can drop in, catch up and re read again.

“I am the fucking Devil. My demons are my friends.”

This is the final book in The Reaped series. It has been a wild ride it's been. If you haven't picked up the prequel, The Reaper Incarnate you need to RIGHT THIS SECOND! This continues from Hunting the Reaper . I DON'T want to spoil too much, because soooo much happens. However, I'm gonna say, it is the perfect wrap up to this series.

"She came in like a tornado and swept us off our feet. She softens Blaze. She matches mine and Santos’ crazy. She balances Zander. And she makes our house into a home, soothing our demons a little at a time."

Omfg!! I'm ugly crying right now!! After all of pain and turmoil Selene and her guys can finally have peace. And my crazy a$$ dude, Santos...ahhh I'm 😭😭😭. It's such a bittersweet feeling. They have a HEA, but it hits that it's the end of their story. Huge bravo to these two ladies for creating such a wild, crazy, badass story. Seriously, I'm obsessed and always recommending this series as much as I can. Would definitely love to read another co-write from these wonderful authors!!

OMG I couldn't have thought of a better ending for this series!! A tragedy, wedding, and shoot out all in one ending had my emotions all over the place. I could have never imagined anything better!! Selene is so amazing and 1 tough cookie. Blaze is grumpy yet a big Teddy bear for Selene and the guys. Darius and Santos have a psycho crazy side that I love so much...the knife, blood play was a bonus. Zander being the the more laid back and chilled of the group had me swooning and loving him the most. This book couldn't have been written better, and the side characters like (my fave) Pepe, Cara, Papi, and Loqi made the story just that much better. This book, the world building and all around the love in this book held my heart from start to finish and I'm so happy with this ending and hope to read more like it. It's so hard to find a book that holds your heart, soul, and keep you emotional and sucks you in but this whole series did it for me!! Amazing, phenomenal job!!

Every book in this series just keeps getting funnier and funnier. But this one? This one left me in stitches. I’m literally cramped up from laughing so much. They knocked this book out of the park. I’m here for every single moment. This book goes straight back into the events that happened in the cliffhanger for Hunting the Reaper. It’s just as I expected, Selene is still a blood-thirsty badass with a penchant for slashing someone. Her guys still rally around her, never seeming to want to let go, which is absolutely understandable. Watching the relationship between Darius and Santos just completely blossom was probably one of my highlights. Favorite part though is Santos with the machine gun. There’s still more drama unfolding throughout this series as Selene and the guys race to locate Mack and destroy the skin game once and for all. I don’t want to spoil too much for you but be prepared to laugh quite a bit throughout this book.

Claiming the  reaper

Selene and her guys  are back in the final chapter of their story  .

Selene is such a powerful unhinged take no crap female lead  with 2 men just as crazy as her an  the other 2  just as hard up but level headed when need to be . These guys balance everything  out.

The authors did such a great job for starting this off as being just a novella , but turned it into a whole series that's full of steam , revenge  ,blood lust and vigilante.  With OUTRAGEOUS LAUGH OUT LOUD moments I swear these guys will have you giggling and having anyone around you thinking you're crazy laughing at yourself, with plenty of steamy times thrown in the mix.   It's bittersweet to see the story end . I loved the crazy of selene and her guys and I'm sad to see it end .

4.5/5

Somehow this series just kept getting better. The final installment had more revenge, more action, more steam and even more laughs. Who knew a dark romance would make me laugh so much.

I absolutely adored the antics of these characters. From one liners to full scenes, I feel like I was constantly smiling.

Surprisingly, I can’t pick who my favorite character was. I loved each of them in their own way. Even new characters made an impact (oh Pepe).

There were highs, lows and absolute chaos. Some parts seemed longer than others but all of the stories were resolved in the end. I liked how there were little mentions from the previous books that made an impact in this one.

The epilogue was perfect. I loved that we had a POV from all of the characters and saw them get their version of a happily ever after.

A great series! I hope this duo writes another series together.

This is the third and final book in the Reaped series. This book was fast paced and non stop action. Selene has upped the crazy in this book and Blaze, Zander, Santos and Darius are along for the ride. All these characters are psycho on their own yet when they are all together they balance each other out. The first two books in the series I gave 5 stars but I can only give this one 4. I am not sure why I didn't love it like the others, I think there was just to much crazy from Selene and the blood lust I couldn't connect with. Santos is still my fave and I was happy with his character growth in this book. Overall I would recommend this series to anyone that likes dark romance with a side of crazy.

Honestly, this was more like a 1.5 star read for me. There was a plot in here, but it was overshadowed by the crazy and the horniness. No one is really sane in these novels and it just makes all of them a little too OTT.

And I have to say that Papí Loco is the most ridiculous name for a gang leader/boss that I have ever heard. I don't pretend to speak for all Latinx people as our cultures are all different, but since I have never heard Papí without a sexual or romantic connotation, the name came across as very cringey. Its hard to take anyone serious with the moniker equivalent to Daddy.

🌶 5/5 - check TW!
Goodness, I love Selene - not all heroes wear capes. 😂
This was a really good ending to this trilogy. The relationships are more solid and caring than ever, but I love that none of them ceased being the psy**os they were before love.
Also, there’s a lot of heavy group projects and swords training, which always make an already good RH great, hahah.
But they get their happily ever after, and get to share that with friends and families outside of their relationship, and I couldn’t help but feeling happy for these characters.

They say all good things must come to an end, but I’m here to tell you that’s FALSE.
Claiming the Reaper is the final book in the Reaped Series and my favorite of the three.
It’s dark humor will have you laughing so hard you pee your pants, and the sex scenes will have you running for the nearest man or battery-operated friend.

Selene, Santos, Blaze, Darius and Zander are my dream harem.
I’ve never read a union that was so chaotic but also so meant to be.
Each man has a deep bond with not only Selene but with each other.
I’m obsessed with this group and would read about their lives, even when they are old and grey.
I can imagine it now, Santos t-bagging Blaze when he’s 85 and wrinkly.

“You came in like a fucking blizzard, Little Reaper, cold and harsh. You ripped through all of our defenses and settled inside our frigid hearts.”

If you haven't started this series yet, WTF are you waiting for?!?!
It's a gory hot mess that I would recommend reading a million times over.
