WOW, Just WOW!!!! These two ladies together killed it and didn’t shy away from any details. They’re queens of dark romance, a powerhouse together, and I feel like I am not worthy. They fed my dark romance addiction. On my dark scale, it's black, with so many triggers and kinks, and very well written. I am comparing this book to Stephen King when it comes to some of the dark parts.
Selene is a vigilante, killing those who prey on the innocent. Her back story is horrific. She poses as a prostitute, stacks, and kills the predators. She meets Zander, Blaze, Santos, and Darius on a job. ( I am not going to get into much detail about that as I don’t want to give any spoilers, best to go in blind ) Santos and Darius are the crazy of the four. (my favorite two) Santos, who is the craziest. Santos and Selene are lethal together.
In comparison, Zander and Blaze are more level-headed but still slightly unhinged. I would love to know more about Blaze's backstory. Ultimately I fell in love with Blaze, and he cares more than he leads on.
This book is full of steam, kink, blood, gore, and a badass vigilante. I can’t say enough good things about this book and how captived I was from page one and devoured the book. The ending was everything and the perfect intro for book two. If you like dark romance, this book is for you.

Holy twisted ass, dark ass, brutal ass, shit did I just read?!
This is the dark I love. This is the twisted shit I crave.
Bravo.
These authors packed a ton of twisted hot drama into a novella sized story.
We have Selene who works as a prostitute to weed out the bad guys. The child touchers, the rapists, the sex traffickers.
“I just want those to pay who can’t keep their dicks and hands to themselves.“
Selene Is psychotic and a murderer. There is no other way to put it but she uses her psychotic tendencies for good. Killing the ones that she feels deserves it. Along the way she meets a sex trafficker who is on her list to kill. She also meets this guy’s son.
She uses her prostitution to get close to this family but along the way realizes that the son and his friends have the same goals as she does.

There’s some really sexy hard-core sex scenes in this book. And a ton of murdering. If that’s the kind of book you like, then this is a must read. It was all kinds of messed up and steamy.

Bloody reckoning
Vigilante heroine Selene with hard life and broken upbringing decides to take matters into her hands to reap justice not only to avenge and find her sister but also as a hit woman. Along the way, she meets some sexy partners in misdeeds, Zander, son of prime hit number one; Santos; Darius; and Blaze.
A nice change having a leading lady who's strong, determined, and confident; one who isn't afraid and is resourceful enough to use whatever wiles necessary toward her objectives. Threat of physical violence? She brings it. Sex? Why not and she might even enjoy it. Selene was impervious.
Bathed in blood, this story did not shy from steam mixed with depravity in its special brand of kinky. From crazy antiheroes Santos and Darius and their camaraderie with Selene, to Zander fighting his attraction to her, to a take charge Blaze, everyone was comfortable in their own sexuality. Never a dull moment in this excellently paced story. Be on the lookout for one of the most perverse (and fun) scenes in the book...well, in any book I've read.
While the sex game was strong, there was less of a romantic attraction between Selene and her guys. Better characterized as romantic suspense than a love story, I could appreciate the originality in depicting a heroine take front and center, demonstrate self-reliance while the guys followed. Still alpha, but this heroine could hold her own. The antiheroes were complementary to the effort rather than in charge of it.
An entertaining, hot read that left the door open for more adventure. What's next? Looking forward to what depravity and justice lie ahead.

Soo I read in the violent tendencies anthology but I wanted to see if anything was changed and some things were added!! So I would recommend reading this version also!!
This one I had mixed feelings the love the plot a female vigilante taking power into her hands making sure any rapist/trafficker gets his. It was so lovely to see that.. I think I was mehh she would fuck the guys before killing them because she poses as a prostitute. But oh well that a me thing. When Selena is on her next mission she meets her targets son Zander and there sparks he hates her because she's fucking his dad but feels conflicted. He has his own crew 2 crazy guys Santos and Darius there are little insane if you ask me and grumpy Blaze. There meeting was tension and sexual and bloody and boy they all wanted a piece of Selena even if they were hiding it.. took Blaze longer (until the end of the book). I do wish we had a bigger group fking scene..
I was alittle sad that Zander didn't get to see Selena kill his dad he deserved to see that. Now I'm this one we also see Selena leaving the men and going to find her sister.. now them boys are hunting there girl down!!

DNF 16%. I had to stop reading after it became clear that the Heroine would end up dating and falling in love with four guys who do the same things and have the same characteristics that she kills other men for. There is a scene where two of the guys have a girl tied up and gagged while one of them is having sex with her. The other guy makes it clear that she consented to being tied up and gagged beforehand. The girl seems to be enjoying it, OK Cool. Then the guy who mentioned her earlier consent is ready to do some blood play. I.e. cutting her with a knife while having sex with her. Keep in mind she is still bound and gagged. The girl immediately starts screaming around her gag and the third guy who is a spectator to all of this leaves because it makes him uncomfortable. The authors tried to make it seem like the guys weren't doing anything wrong by saying that the girl consented earlier but that doesn't cut it for me. There is a reason that in kink there is safe word usage and other nonverbal cues for safe words when unable to speak, NONE OF WHICH THE AUTHORS MENTION THE GIRL HAVING! She should have had the ability to revoke consent AT ANY TIME! Yet she was in a position where she couldn't revoke consent if she wanted to, all she could do was scream around her gag, while they ignored her. In my book that was dubious consent AT BEST. After that I couldn't finish because already the Heroine is going to be a hypocrite in my book by even entertaining these men, much less falling in love and ending up in a relationship with them. Already I can't take her crusade against abusers seriously when the men she'll love are not much different than the men she murders. It doesn't matter to me that the guys want to take down another abuser, they're not too much better than he is.

This was one of those instances where I immediately realize that I have a crush on the FMC. Selene is a BADDIE and we have to stan her serial killer methods of taking out rapists and human traffickers left right and center.
Selene has a new target, a pretty big fish in charge of a major human trafficking operation. She begins to see him under the guise of a prostitute, and when she runs into his super hot son, things start to take a turn. Turns out his super hot son has three super hot friends, and they also want to take down daddy dearest. They end up joining forces, and all four of the guys are just as obsessed with Selene as I was.
The spice was OFF THE CHARTS holy shit. There were many group scenes, lots of kink, and sword crossing to boot. Loved this and will be continuing the series post haste.

Selene is one badass woman and she goes around town creating her own form of justice, Then she meets Zander, Santos, Blaze & Darius (4 badass hot alpha mles) and her first thought is they were the enemy but when she finds out they have a common goal she decided to team up with them.
These men are mutha fucking on fire and the sex scenes are hot AF. I didn't want this story to end and I could have kept reading about these 5 charachters for alot more hours.
These 2 authors have done a fantastic collaboration and I am jumping for joy that these 2 authors have decided to make this story a series.

I've been waiting for this series to finish before reading (sorry!) and I'm glad I did...going straight into book 2.
No writing done today as I was glued to this, and read it in one sitting.

This book was so cringe. I hate FMC that try too hard and this heroine tried too hard. She was a serial killer that killed off predators and the likes. She is trying to take out one of them when she meets his son and his friends. She is attracted to them and they to her, being the RH that this is they all have dark desires (knife play, blood play) and the rest of it.
I usually don't care about that because some authors make it work. This book felt like that kink was just thrown in to make the guys badass , it didn't really merge. It just sucked. Not interested in continuing the series.

My prayers have been answered! When i read The Reaper Incarnate as part of the Violent Tendencies anthology, i begged in my review to have RE Bond and CA Rene to continue this story. I immediately fell in love with Selene and these guys (Santos i’m looking @ you baby), and i am so freaking happy this is now a series!
I loved the alternative ending and that we got to get a perspective from all the guys. Although i really loved each and every one of them and i loved Zander’s perspective, i really couldn’t wait to get the others perspective and know them more. Selene is a badass heroine on a mission and I can’t wait to see where her story is going! Definitely check this novella out for an introduction to a sexy, bloody, and psychotic reverse harem.

If you loved The Mindf*ck series and/or Den of Vipers, you need to check out this little prequel novella because it’s giving me all of those vibes. It sets up the next book up perfectly so yeah it does leave on a cliffhanger. It’s fast paced, although the writing for me felt choppy in some places but that didn’t bother me because I was so invested in the story. Also this was pretty smut heavy.
We are following Selene who does sex work in order to be unassuming to her victims. That’s right. She’s a serial killer, but she kills with a purpose and goal in mind: to rid the world of sex traffickers and rapists of women/children. All her victims are guilty of these crimes and she takes great pleasure in ending them. But what she doesn’t see coming is a group of four men who will come into her path and steal her heart.
Side note: there is some bisexual rep
CW/TW: this novella is full of violence. There’s gruesome scenes of murder in many forms, sexual assault, rape, drug use, sex trafficking, mention of past trauma from sexual assault/rape, and abuse from parental figure.

My love for psychotic and murderous heroines remains unmatched
Why do guys think I'm worried about getting hurt, when I'm usually the biggest monster in the room?
Despite the story being mostly great, very murderous, bloody and quite steamy - I might need to go to church and seek guidance for why I enjoyed majority of the sex scenes😅 - I had some issues with some parts
1. I usually do not mind cursing in a book but the amount of cursing that suddenly popped up after the men were introduced almost made me dnf this story. However, thanks to insomnia...I persevered and here we are
Quick question - Where do I sign to have the word 'cunt' forever eliminated from the English language???
2. Zander - He was basically a child for quite a minute there
3. Why did she keep having sex after claiming that her p🐱ssy was already sore and swollen🙆🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. Like girl.... Idk about y'all but this made me worried and uncomfortable. I may have experienced some phantom pain too

Despite the story being mostly great, very murderous, bloody and quite steamy - I might need to go to church and seek guidance for why I enjoyed majority of the sex scenes😅 - I had some issues with some parts
1. I usually do not mind cursing in a book but the amount of cursing that suddenly popped up after the men were introduced almost made me dnf this story. However, thanks to insomnia...I persevered and here we are

I’m so disappointed with this book. Why is there not more?! Thank goodness this is the start to a series. I love these authors separately, together... just wow.
I enjoyed all of the characters, they were the perfect mix of crazy, with humor and, of course, danger. The multiple POVs were a great way to tell the story. You got to know the characters, see different events take place and try to pick your favorite.
This is exactly what I needed for a darker romance. The story, the characters, just all of it. So much was fit into this novella and I couldn’t put it down. I will definitely need to set aside a night for the next installment or else I will not be sleeping.
The cliffhanger was mild compared to some but it left the perfect opening for book 2. More questions, a mystery and adventure coming up.

I’m glad I finally picked this series up.
The crazy was really entertaining and the smut was hot as hell.
Do I even need to say ‘check TWs’ or is it obvious? If it’s not, definitely Check Trigger Warnings.
The characters in this book are all psychos. The FMC is a serial killer and the guys are just as bloodthirsty. Plus there’s the sex worker type shit that she does to get close to her hits…it’s a lot.
But I fucking loved it.
I can’t wait to see the kind of crazy that’s unleashed in the next book.

From the get go girl you are sucked into Selene’s world, which is overflowing with super darkness, a whole load of angst and a never ending supply of raunchy and kinky steam. Which wasn’t surprising, since it wouldn’t be a R.E. Bond story without steamy scenes that include blood and knife play.
Considering The Reaper Incarnate is now a start to the Reaped series to come, overall it was still somewhat of a good story. And with the new ending, I look forward to see how R.E. Bond and C.A. Rene play out the story within the Reaped series, considering the cliffhanger.

Picked this book because one of my good friends recommended it and compared it to one of my new faves, the mindf*ck series. So I was super excited going into this one and went in blind not knowing what it was about.
Y’all, this little prequel novella blew my mind. Lol. I had no idea it was going to be a reverse harem, so that was a nice surprise. Also, LOTS of violence. It was pretty much just smut and violence.. Which didn’t bother me in the slightest. This book got me super stoked for the next book and I can’t wait to be back in this world!

From the Prologue to the very end, this books is going to grab you by the balls and not let go. In fact it’s going to leave you craving more. It’s dark. It’s twisted. It’s hot af and the story is killer! Selene is a BA lead with an I do what I want attitude and the the boys. Whew! Trust me you NEED this book! These two authors write bloody goodness on their own. Together it’s explosive! If you like your books dirty, questionable and your characters of the rails put this book at the top of your tbr. You will be thinking why am I loving this?!?!?. What’s wrong with me because I can’t put it down?!?!? Does it make me twisted because I NEED/WANT/HAVE TO HAVE the next book??? Come to to dark side because it’s a beautiful place! If you have triggers...maybe not so much.

The Reaper Incarnate by C.A. Rene and R.E. Bond was filthy. Edgy. Twisted. Action packed. If you have triggers, stay away because this is one dangerous territory. I love to read about heroines who can stand on their own and take down evil like a boss. And Selene is exactly that. She is the ruthless and lethal vigilante who takes down the predators who prey on the weak and the vulnerable. The men in her life are equally unhinged and volatile like her. Santos and Darius takes passion to a deviant extreme while eliminating enemies. Zander and Blaze are more level headed but not any less fearsome. Together they form a formidable team. A nuclear hot tale of suspense and love and I cannot wait for more.

Plot Summary :
Selene loves to serve justice. She has a horrific backstory and kills the ones she deems are not at all innocent. Her job leads her to posing as prostitutes and then eventually kills the predators. She meets Darius, Zander, blaze and Santos on a mission.
All of them unhinged apart from each other and together they are downright lethal. I think Santos was the craziest one which ultimately made him my most favorite one. I won't go into much detail because of the spoilers but I can tell you that you need to sit tight because this book was really dark and triggering.
Overall Opinion :
Both these authors have amazing books individually but nothing can prepare you for the explosion of when they both come together. It's amazing. The book was dark and thrilling and I would definitely recommend it to all the dark romance lovers.
Also the book has a lot of triggers and the author describes Gruesome scenes and certainly doesn't hold back. So please keep that in mind before picking this one up.

This is a dark reverse harem romance that was originally published in the Violent Tendencies Anthology it now is extended with a different ending and is set up for a series this being the first book in this series!
Holy shit this story was good ! What a fucking brutal ride this duo took us on ! Selene is a bad ass strong willed female she is seeking out justice for her sister she seeks to rid the world of scum of the earth perverts in disturbingly sadistic dark and bloody ways . This story is dark bloody twisted and sexy af ! Sheesh the steam level in this one is high . This is a definite must read by this duo ! I can’t wait to see where else they take us in this amazing series!

This book is insane and I loved every second of it!
Selene has become one of my all-time favorite heroines. If you're into badass female leads, this book is definitely a must-read! The Reaper Incarnate will suck you in with its engaging plot, interesting characters, and suuuper steamy scenes. Zander, Santos, Darius and Blaze are perfect for Selene. They match her crazy and I can't wait to read what happens next after that ending. I'm obsessed with this world!

This book was NOT long enough. I turned the page to the epilogue and screamed. I was not ready for the story to be over. I DEVOURED this book today. Didn't move at all from start to finish.
Selene is freaking amazing! I want to be her. She knows what she wants and she's not stopping until she gets it. I also love that while she likes it rough and to give in to those men, if they piss her off she will quickly show them who is the boss and it is beautiful.
I love the dynamic with the four guys. Blood play has never been so enticing as it was reading this. Santos is my kind of crazy but I have a feeling that Blaze's crazy will be even better when we really get to see it. I can't wait for the next book!

Now THIS is some psychotic and hot shit I like! The heroine is a serial killer who’s completely in control while having fun with four men (and they are just as crazy as her). I’ve read it in one sitting and my head is spinning from all the spice 🥵 This girl could do inexplicable things to me, and I’d say thank you. The only complaint is that there’s a detailed description of the heroine appearance, but we don’t have much information about the guys’ looks.
