ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Web-Photo-Editor He looks down on me in a way I can’t fathom.
Like he’s no longer just my annoying stepbrother or the rival to my throne.
Or even the love of my life.
He looks like he wants me dead.”

Usually I read where the heroine is less villainous than the hero , but in this one I'd say it was a very tough competition. I have never read a heroine who could be more bitchy than Pearl!! I don't know whether I hated her or loved her , I still don't know lmao , but that is what made this trilogy an amazing read for me! It is nothing like I have ever read before and so amazing!

Seth and Pearl have a story that spanned over the years , with so much heartache and betrayals that you couldn't count them! It started with a game between two heirs of their respective multinational companies. Seth and Pearl's families have been at war for a long time and there is nothing they wouldn't do to destroy each other. Usually in books like this , it is the Hero who destroys the heroine, but that was not the case here. The heroine gave as good as she got , even much more too! She was certainly a lot more ruthless than the hero and if you want to read a book with the main lead as a stone cold bitch then this book is your stop!

Web-Photo-Editor Pearl Darlington is gorgeous, poisonous, and ethereal. She is every nightmare and every wet dream, and everything I’ve ever wanted all rolled into one.”

The first book was about them being in high school first year and how they seduced each other to get to use each other. But they got played at their own game when fate intervened and they fell in love ! That is until Seth's betrayal surfaced. In throes of heartache , Pearl does the one thing that she knew would destroy the boy she loves. She doesn't look back , there were times when she regrets destroying him , but then so much time had gone by for her to do anything about it.

Second book starts with Seth returning to the school years later and vowing to take revenge on the girl who betrayed him. The one he once loved but would now gladly kill. She was the one who took everything from him. Everything that was supposed to be his. And there was no way he wasn't getting it back. No matter how badly he had to crush her. The game was On!!

The third book was the conclusion and was certainly the turning point for these two. Both had a lot of heartache to get over with and how they did it was the one thing that mattered! The book was a crazy epic ride for me and there were a lot of times when I hated Pearl so bad. What she did was too disgusting for me to stomach and I wanted to stop reading because a heroine who was like her wasn't something I enjoyed reading. But then Seth came back and my broken man gave as good as he got. The way he had changed after coming back was something to witness. He was cold and so withdrawn. Even Pearl was so scared of him!!

There story was one epic ride of heartache and I would definitely recommend it to all the Dark Romance lovers out there! If you love extra Bitchy heroines and anti Heroes in the mix. Then don't hesitate to read this one!

Note: I received an arc for this in exchange for an honest review.

Note: This is a collection. First comes War Of Hearts. Then Wicked Hearts. Finally - Hearts Break. Please read in order as they are a trilogy in Seth and Pearl’s story with the HEA coming in Hearts break.

Trigger Warnings: Abuse, sexual assault, rape mentioned, human trafficking, drug abuse, emotional abuse, death, torture, manipulation, mental illness.

This was a turbulent ride for me both s****lly and emotionally as I watched them go from friends to lovers to enemies to partial acquaintances to backstabbing asshats again to lovers finally. See what I mean?

I loved the steam, some emotion and constant plot twists and of course the master manipulation and games played. Truly does remind you of gossip girls and cruel intentions.

Everyone is fucked up and the depravity is not left behind when the MCs reach their HEA. I truly did root for them all the way although at times I felt like banging my head more against the wall and being like why do you hate me so much? How could you?

Regardless even after all the crazy tricks deviousness plans and manipulation, I still stayed with them regardless to see the end. And for me it was fucked up but worth it to read.

A definitely fucked but worth it read. I literally have no other ways to articulate my points.

Until the next read,

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let me start this with something that I was taught early on when it comes to writing. Nothing makes you remember a book like your reaction to reading it. The feelings evoked are what adheres you to a piece.

This is easily one of the longest reviews I've written and it's because I've finally found the words to describe what I believe it means to leave an honest review. I hope that future readers will take this into consideration. I feel that some previous reviews were unfair, and I hope to open up your minds if even just a little.

My reaction to book one was strong. Pure unfiltered disgust. I'm sure that's confusing given the 5 star rating. I assure you it's no mistake. The 5 stars were earned. When an author is able to elicit from you a completely unguarded reaction, utterly real and clashing feelings, they've succeeded.

I absolutely DESPISED Pearl at the end of book one. The discomfort was visceral. It made it pretty difficult to start book 2. It felt as if Pearl was in the room with me and I was being forced not to drown her in the punch bowl. Some may think she had been left with no choice, I vehemently disagree. I felt lightning under my skin trying to temper down my emotions just trying to get through the first chapter. And how outrageous is that?

Pearl isn't real. It's just a book. So how does it have the power to take over very real emotions? Because of how well written the story was. I will agree with prior reviews that certain bits were skipped that would have helped build the relationship between Pearl and Seth. It felt rushed. My theory is that it was part of the method.

You have to realize, they were just kids. A lot happened very quickly. Are we to expect that as kids we would react differently to what they went through? Pearl made a very brash and drastic decision on the heels of a major life altering event. It would have been a lot harder to grasp the level of that if you were enthralled in the details of what Seth and Pearl had started building, right? With the way the book was written, you were left reeling.

Kind of like you'd just been slapped in the face with tragedy, secrets, lies, love, betrayal, and heartache all at once and then asked to take a half a breath and reflect then make an irrevocable decision. As a teenager. All while being emotionally stripped bare and completely unaware of the world you had been thrust into on your wobbly newborn legs. Much like Pearl.

I still didn't forgive her. Especially when I figured out what she was hiding. I felt for Seth, I really did. My heart hurt and I had this uneasiness in my gut throughout the entirety of book 2. Pearl did some growing, she saw the light and finally admitted to some of her wrong doing, but she still had a long way to go. I think we saw how much Seth wanted her to do that. In the end he knew she was hurting and the whole ordeal has him divided. You see that he just wants her to be okay, but he also wants that for himself.

Book 3 things started a little lighter. The 'ottoman' scene had me busting up. We finally got some reprieve. We got some action. I LOVED book three. I knew from the first book that all of the turmoil and conflict was going to be entirely worth it. I knew that just like Seth and Pearl we had to stick out. This is a series I will never forget and I will be impatiently waiting for the stories of the others! The drama, danger, and downright outrageous whirlwind we just went through was like Dynasty cranked up to 9,000. No regrets. 10/10 would enter this war again.

This series is the perfect example of what it takes to test readers. Are you really reading and appreciating the book as a piece of art? Are you looking at the structure, style, and life of the book? Or are you just blindly casting judgement? So you didn't like a character. Why? And what about that makes a book bad? It doesn't. Especially if that was the intention. So you didn't like the outcome, was it well written nonetheless? So you're at the end of the book and you're festering, raging, heartbroken. Those are some pretty deep feelings for a book you were so willing to rate lowly, so maybe don't. Take a step back and think of what it took to get that out of you. It took a part of the authors soul.

If you're at the end of the book and you can't stop thinking about it good or bad then the author deserves every star available. It means you reacted. That means the author was successful.

Pay them in kind.

War of Hearts
Oh Pearl and Seth. The Romeo and Juliet of today. Pearl is a brilliant senior who switches schools to an all boys school which now allows girls. She is being groomed (she thinks) to take over her fathers company seeing as she’s the only heir. Her mother has passed away taking a piece of pearl that she’ll never get back. She knows going to this school is going to be tough. Even tougher is the favor her dad asks her for. ‘Get close to Seth Montford’.
Seth is the big man on campus. He owns his previously all boys school. He is the most eligible bachelor and model entering his senior year. He has one quest, get information on Darlington (Pearls family) so he’s able to help his family business. Seth always gets what he wants. Only problem with both of their ideas is that their parents are about to get married and throw a real wrench in the mix.
The development of Pearl and what she goes through fills you with sadness, angst, excitement and downright mourning.

Wicked Hearts
Following War of Hearts, she created another amazing story following Seth and Pearl. She really hits on your heart strings in this book and I absolutely devoured it. The emotions are heightened, theres more angst among the pages, and the characters are older and are becoming their own person. All this develops in book two.
Pearl and Seth are back at it. With a huge secret Pearl has been keeping from Seth, things are way more complicated this time around. He promises to do to her what she did to him those 5 years ago. Ticking off each one on his check list, pearl is standing strong and not backing down. Her fathers estate and billion dollar company is at stake. The twists and turns in this book will have you hooked and needing to know what happened and who did it. This somehow trumps the first book and was a nail biter from start to finish. We learn a lot more about Pearl and Seth but still there is so much more we need to know! This was terrifically written and had you on the edge of your seat from the beginning! I highly recommend this series and can not wait for the last book!

Hearts Break
Mallory took a forbidden love story and added so many twists and loops in the story line you sit there and think wow because you’re speechless. She delivered the perfect step brother romance/lovers to enemies series I’ve ever read. The way she writes the characters and how they feel has you right in their head experiencing their life. She also shifts point of views from both the main characters to help you really get into the story.
The story picks up off where Wicked Hearts ends. Pearl is out for blood as is her step brother who is after her inheritance. Pearl knows what she wants and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Seth, with revenge on his tongue, wants nothing more than to take down Pearl and take over her company and fortune. In the midst of their war, they discover there are new enemies, an alliance they wouldn’t have dreamed of, and at the end of the day, learn that sometimes the ones you think you deserve the worst is actually a mask for how much you care about them. Because deep down you know you still love them despite all the difficult challenges they put you through. Get ready for betrayal, heartbreak, death, happy, angry, and WTF moments. I can not recommend this series enough.

Amazing

This box set is absolutely spectacular with books 1-3

Book One is set in highschool where we meet Seth and Pearl which I would describe as frenemies , further step siblings , and two people with a ton of sexual tension between the two. Book 1 has a ton of heat that will leave you craving more or pearl and Seth. But this book is not what it seems there are twists and turns and the ending will leave you absolutely shell shocked !!

Book 2 is set a few years after the end of book 1. We are shown how the finally moments of book 1 have left Seth and Pearl. We see a now extremely angry Seth who is reeling from and still dealing with what has happened and is dead set on revenge. Then we see Pearl who is anything from perfectly okay. The whole book she seems frazzled, anxious , and uneasy about Seths Return to her life. But still the sexual tension is off the charts between the two. I almost wasn’t sure if the secrets kept could ever be forgiven. And somehow the cliffhanger in book 2 hit me even harder!!

Book 3 is the last of the series and takes places immediately following book 2. We see Seth dealing from the bombshell secret he has discovered. I truly wondered if he could forgive Pearl. Pearl is still uneasy for most of the book rightfully so she has been dealing with her life alone for years. If You thought this book would be a walk in the park you are simply mistaken. Book 3 is by far the darkest of the books the things that go on with Seth , Pearl , and his family are down right sinister. The will they won’t they have a happy ever after goes till the end.

You will not regret getting this box set run now to get it

First let me says Wicked Heart at War is great read. When I started read I couldn’t stop.
Seth and Pearl is tragic and full of drama. Pearl will be used by all most everyone in her life she will be torn down. She is a very strong and determined woman who deserve to be happy.
Seth is treated horrible by his family and use by the people around him. He gets what he wants but he never knows love.

Then when Pearl meet Seth at school. It let fireworks. Seth put Pearl thru hell per his grand father request. Pearl being using by her father she was told to close to Seth. They both were being using because of a business deal. Then Pearl father and Seth mother married. And then the drama continues.

Eventually Seth and Pearl falling in love with each other. But not before a very long and hard road that you get to go with them. But the question is will Seth and Pearl get their h.e.a? You will have to read to found out. I promise you won’t regret.

This book is a really great book it has passion drama and love. It has a great written storyline. The author did a great job with this book. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Had me pulling my hair out!!

This story had me saying WTF so many times!!!! AHHHH!!!! (Like in the good way)

It's one of those books that you just have to keep reading because you are waiting for something good and decent to occur. You know it's somewhere in there but stop and wonder if the Author is not going to give it to you. It's a bully romance between step siblings Seth and Pearl and Mallory loves to keep us waiting for the goods.

Each books gives you just a pinch, a wee little bit of the twists and turns that keep coming at us.

But when I got to the end, ohhhhhhh boy was I so satisfied and glad I stuck it through as it was beautifully executed

Wickedly intense from the first book til the ending of the third.

Seth and Pearl’s story is intense. They’re supposed to hate each other because of business rivalry but what they don’t count on is the intense attraction. Unfortunately that sets off a whole host of events that lead to betrayal, death, and deception. Things do work out but the twists and turns to get there will give you a headache but it’s all worth it. No one is above suspicion amongst their family, friends and associates about who is willing to kill them to get a piece of the wealth.

Glad the three books are out together in one box set because this a series that cannot be read out of order. You would be lost.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

OOO I love a good box set and this one didn't disappoint! With this box set you find yourself being sucked in and not wanting to put it down. You get to see Seth and Pearl and the evolution of their relationship through out the books from High School and further on into their life because not everything gets settled in High School like some RH books. As a reader I love a book that I can fall in love with the characters and you never know what is the truth and lies until almost the end of the book.

war of hearts.

Pearl and Seth, wow! The attraction between them is an inferno and someone going to get burnt!

With their families embroiled in a (corporate) war and everyone having their own secret agendas the course of love was never going to run smoothly. but then one tragic event sets things in motion that changes everyone's lives. This was an amazing fast paced start to the series.

Wicked hearts.

Where to even start with this one! There's so much going on but somehow it never feels to much. we join them five years after the end of the first book.

Pearl needs to work out how to make it onto her seat in her fathers company whilst working out who is trying to destroy her. Not to mention she's keeping a massive secret too!

Seth has come back, and boy is he angry. As the events of the past five years come to light so do some truths and some misunderstandings, the trouble is neither of them can back down!

This book was just as fast paced as the first and i love the groundwork that's being set for what will doubtlessly be an incredible finale.

Hearts break

What a perfect ending! I don't want to say to much and spoil things for others but true to form Seth and pearl don't make things easy for themselves. This was the perfect conclusion to the trilogy and see's some people who really deserve it get their just desserts. I'm off to check out Mallory's other books now!

The author is brilliant. Pearl and Seths story was heartbreaking, amazing and a rollercoaster. You don’t choose who you love and no matter what actions you take there are always consequences. At the end everything works out but at what cost.

Good read

This was a really different take on the bully genre. It went back and forth between them and through the years. The storyline was unique and had many things I never saw coming. I definitely enjoyed it.

Love this series. Wicked Hearts At War is a completed series and consist of 3 Books: War of Hearts, Wicked Hearts, and Hearts Break. Mallory Fox, author, did a wonderful job with the world of money and fast paced jet setters. Wicked Hearts At War follows Pearl and Seth from high school and college till they finally find their HEA. There were so many secrets and misunderstandings all because of money, businesses, and inherited wealth. They both did not have the best examples of how parents should be and they had to learn the hard way how to grow up. How many times I wanted to tell them that most of their problems would be solved if they were just honest with each other and learn to trust each. But unfortunately they grew up in a world where trust was hard to come by. Wicked Hearts At War is fast paced and grabs your attention from beginning till the very end. Loved that since Wicked a hearts At War is the complete series that I could read it right through from beginning to end. There were lots of twists, turns, things going sideways (frequently), secrets, surprises, lots of heat, and emotions. The books definitely keeps you engrossed to the point that you don’t want any interruptions or to point the book down so you know what is going to happen next. Mallory does a wonderful job with the characters from this series. You (readers) can actually empathize with the characters and want to be able to set them straight and tell them be honest. But like with most lies one turns into another and an other to the point that they have a hard time coming clean. When you think you know what it is going to be something happens to change up everything. Highly recommend Wicked Hearts At War!!

War of Hearts

A dark, bully romance that is an addictive read. I fell in love with these characters and all the suspenseful twists. Everyone has so many secrets and is lying to each other. This was a great story and I can’t wait for the next book.

Wicked Hearts

This dark bully romance was so wickedly delicious. Oh the angst!! This was a dark, twisted, almost taboo bully romance and I devoured it in one sitting. I could not stop reading until the mind-blowing last page. Mallory Fox has outdone herself with this powerful book. This was a heartbreaking, emotional roller coaster of a story. The plot was fast paced and thick with suspenseful twists and turns. All the secrets!!!! The characters are well developed and complex. Pearl and Seth had explosive chemistry together. They are both hiding secrets and refusing to give into their feelings. This book is a must read!! The ending blew my mind and I need the next installment in this amazing series. One click this book now!

Hearts Break

This book was dark, gritty, intense full of deception, heartbreak, betrayal, vengeance, redemption and loads of angsty steam. I have loved this series and watching the evolution of Seth and Pearl. They have finally matured and come to realize the value of life and love despite all they have done to each other. You need to read this series right now. It is perfection. Mallory Fox is an automatic one click for me. I see her name and think I must have it!!! I give this book ten stars, read it you won’t be disappointed.

Wicked Hearts at War Collection by Mallory Fox was an intense and intriguing roller coaster ride which had me hooked from the very start. Two rival families come head to head when the Providence Arcadia School for Girls is closed down. Which means that Pearl Darlington is now has to attend Ravenwood’s Prep School for Boys with her archnemesis Seth Montford. Will they be able to get along or will all hell break loose?

I really liked Pearl during the first book War of Hearts because she was strong and sassy but then she did something that I found to be unforgivable which changed my opinion of her. In the next two books I found her to be a disgusting, backstabbing liar who only cared about herself and her money. I’ve never hated a heroine before but I definitely can say that I hate and despise Pearl Darlington. I found that Pearl had absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

In War of Hearts Seth started out being a total d*ck throughout the majority of the story although there were a few times that I liked him. In the next two books I loved him a lot more because I got to see a different side of him, one that was broken and damaged because of Pearl’s actions. Seth was definitely my favourite character even though he started out as the villain.

This was a great series that was filled with heartbreak, hatred, revenge, selfishness and love. I definitely recommend this series if you love dark bully romances.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

War of Hearts:
This was incredibly intense and kept me reading straight through! I found it so sad and shocking and intriguing and bittersweet and even bits of it rather hot. Looking forward to resolution!

Wicked Hearts:
These guys are crazy! My goodness I'd like to sit them down and mediate conversation for them. But where would the fantastic and sexy drama be in that? Seth is in a mess with his grandfather trying to keep things controlled and Pearl is just in a mess all over the place. Things are falling apart for her, thanks to Seth and his grandfather, and i can't wait to read the conclusion to see how everything plays out.

Hearts Break:
I just finally finished Hearts Break and omg my heart! It was such a beautiful ending to the series and i will miss them! I look forward to the other books you will create in their world though! Especially one about Romain as he intrigues me. Loved this so much! Seth and Pearl would have been so much better off without other adults involved I their relationship from the beginning, poor things. But then there would be no fantastic drama! The ending for Marvel was perfect. I felt that most of those involved got what they deserved, so of course that makes for a satisfying ending. I would like to know what happened to Constance, she was a twat. But ah well. Lol great book.

War of hearts: If you like a dark romance, with lies, deceit and emotions of the chart then you must read. Pearl and Seth are soon to be step brother and sister. Also fighting for the legacy of each others families, while deceit and lies lay ready. In the end of the first book does Pearl really win?

Wicked hearts: Wow, Pearl loved and destroyed Seth in a wink of a eye. Instead of having charges against him, he was sent to military school. Now years later he's back and with a vengeance to destroy Pearl. He's slowly working his way into her life and destroying it piece by piece and Pearl is doing everything to save Darlington from Seth. It was her fathers company however his mother made a huge donation that kept the company from going under and including all the properties. This is a school that has rich untitled students using their parents name and money to make a standing and pushing buttons that shouldn't be pushed without a consequence. Pearl was a war on hands is not backing down from anywhere how far will she go to win and what does Seth have up his sleeve in book three?

Hearts break: I absolutely love Pearl and Seth. Their story has destroyed and brought each other back together and in the end they finally get what they both want, each other. This series is a must read!!!!

What an amazing trilogy!
Seth and Pearl’s relationship has been one that is full of love, hate, deceit and distrust. Their relationship spans over several years and gives us many heartbreaking moments, twists and a lot of angst. Their story is outstanding! If dark bully romances are your jam then this is definitely a must read!

Book 1 is set at the beginning of high school. Both Seth and Pearl are heirs to they families companies and ultimately, are supposed to destroy each other. Her family want her to get close to Seth, his family want information on Pearl’s. They are literally a modern day Romeo and Juliet. What neither counts on is there intense attraction and the push and pull they have towards each other. Pearl is a bitch in book 1 but does what she feels she need to.

Book 2 is set a few years later when Seth returns to school determined to get revenge on the girl he once loved. All is fair game in love and war.

Book 3 is the conclusion and what a conclusion it turns out to be. It’s full of action, deceit and drama but we finally get the ending we are all hoping for. The characters were great, Seth stole my heart completely and at times I really connected with them both.

A brilliant trilogy and a definite must read!!

The Wicked Hearts At War series is are my first reads from Mallory Fox and I'm wondering what actually took me so long. This series completely sucked me in from start to finish.

War of Hearts
Fox started this series amazingly. Seth and Pearl have this intense relationship that I just could not get enough of. Fox had me on the edge of my seat reading waiting to see what happened next. This action packed book had it all, action, steam, so many shocking moments.

Wicked Hearts
Mallory Fox so appropriately named this book. Seth and Pearl are both a hot mess each in their own ways. But once again Fox had me reading as fast as I could to see what happened. And the drama! The drama made me want to drink a glass of wine. This sexy, drama filled book is the perfect follow up to War of Hearts. These two are wicked all the way.

Heart Break
When I got to book three and saw the title and considered stopping. With a title like that I knew what was coming and oh, man was I right. My poor heart. Fox took me for a ride I was not at all prepared for. Heart Break was a marvelous ending to Seth and Pearl's story. Mallory Fox did not hold anything back and I cannot think of a better conclusion for these two.

This wicked couple is a must read.

Wicked Hearts At War: The Complete Series (Books 1-3) by
Mallory Fox

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 STARS

OK..... First I have to say that the Wicked Hearts At War series are my first read from Mallory Fox. You must read them in order:
War of Hearts #1,
Hearts Break#2,
Wicked Hearts #3.
They are written from Pearl & Seth Dual POV.
This series....this series ended me. Like.....I don't think I ever was so on the edge with any series like I was with this. My feelings were so over the place, my heart broke and hurt, and don't let me start about my emotions.

War of Hearts
This book started so wonderfully. It continues that way, until the end when my mind and my heart were blown away.

Heart Break
This book....There were so many moments when I was so angry, that I wanted to stop and DNF it.....OMG....I hated Pearl so so much, and then Seth, and then loved them, and then, hate them again arrrhhhh

I am giving it 5 STARS because this author knew how to play with my mind and my emotions. After all, I need more from the secondary characters, and for the whole story.

There's a thin line between love and hate.

Pearl and Seth are on that line.

Pearls family business is in trouble. But that isn't the only thing going wrong in her life. Pearl is forced to go to her father's old school. It used to be an all-boys school but they've absorbed the all-girls school. That probably wouldn't have been so bad if the school wasn't run by her family's arch-nemesis, Seth. Seth is the top guy in the school and he's going to make her life hell. Little does he know just how much Pearl can take.

I swear that girl is made of Teflon. She's so incredibly strong. Time after time she is put through the wringer but she never gives up. She just fights harder.

Seth, he gives her troubles for sure but most of the troubles he gives her are to help her but she doesn't know that so, of course, it's just worst.

I was hooked to this series I could not get enough I binged in it just a few hours over a couple of days.

What a series! Absolutely phenomenal!

Pearl and Seth, what can i say about them?! The chemistry their characters possess is off the charts, and their story is one of push and pull, despair and lust, of anger and love.

Pearl is one of my favourite heroines. I love how shes so damn strong no matter what is thrown her way, and I also adore her sassy attitude.

Seth is a sexy, cool, calculating bad boy. His alpha side called to me, I rooted for him fiercely.

The backstory of the war of worlds is enthralling and really keeps you hooked all the way throughout. Both children being used for their families gain, growing into adults with strong backbones and a take no s* attitude.

The long road of their relationship really drags you in from the get go, and it is a real page-turner,I could not see the shocks coming, and had no idea what would be found on the next page.

One of my favourite bully romance trilogies. A must read, promise you wont regret it!

“I was fucking seventeen when I made the biggest mistake of my life, but you just keep on fucking making them.” I shake my head, tears coming because I couldn’t stop them if I wanted to. “You’re a hypocrite and bully, and I fucking hate you. Go ahead, punish me all you want. I don’t care.”

Power is a currency in a dog eat dog world, where evil reigns. A family feud has Darlington Estate heiress Pearl manipulated into uncovering the secrets of Seth who’s the Montford International heir. It’s a game of cat and mouse and tit for tat waiting for the weak to fold, but what if they don’t? There are many players in this game, some are pure evil and whilst others are nothing more than puppets, half the fun is deciphering which side they are playing on? Takeovers, mergers and marriages that are simply financial agreements are par for the course. One thing is certain, there will be some, humiliation, pain and regrets.

The blurb doesn't gives this book enough justice.
I've got the chance to read the trilogy in one go and I recommend that you do too as the story is not easily to break apart. The action is almost non-stop so you will be left with big cliff-hangers and to be honest the best parts are not in the first book.
As for the story itself, it is about 2 complicated and rich families that get united by a short lived marriage. A love marriage that just like in Romeo and Juliet is not desired by the "elder" of the family and that is bound to repeat itself in the next generation of step-siblings.
The story is about their hate-love relationship starting in college and spanning a few years during witch a lot of deals, misunderstandings, attacks, and a lot more happen before what we expect to be the final happy ending. The voyage is great for those that like a bit of a darker romance (just a bit).

Must Read

All 3 books in 1 nice little box, what more could a girl ask for?

These books take you through everything. There are so many twists and turns, where you don’t know who you are trusting or if you even want to trust them. I was here for it all though, War of Hearts sucked me in when I first originally read it and I just had to keep reading to find out where this was going to end up.

So many times you just wanted to bash their heads together whilst shouting out loud (looking utterly crazy in the process). But like all good books, these take you on a journey (a totally twisty turny journey) and what happens and what they go through is all part of the process. I definitely recommend giving these books a go, and I for one cannot wait to see what Mallory Fox delivers to us next.

P.S. Seth well and truly stole my heart in these books 💕

Firstly thank you Mallory for the ARC of this updated series. I hadn’t read any reviews on the books and didn’t know what to expect when I started as hadn’t read anything by Mallory previously. I loved the 2 leads and found myself willing them to get back together again. That being said I did feel like Pearl need to harden up a bit because she was all good with threats and big words she didn’t really have the follow through - except for that once! Sully completely confused me as couldn’t quite work out what he was doing … especially with the whole law suit when he was the only one with the will (or did I miss something?!). And Seth well what can I say about the anti-hero ? I loved his vulnerability and his journey from puppet to puppet master so that he could get the girl.
